To be fair to Dando here it did look split. It did look like some fans turned up for the true cause and made a strong effort, which is commendable, whereas others just went because it gave them an excuse to get smashed, which is a bit pathetic really.

all that matters is they were there and no red in sight so job done and well done to em all does it matter what they wore as long as it wasnt red.Being there says it all end of.

No, mate, It most definitely does not!

It completely matters 'why' they were there and it matters immensely what their 'motives' were

Some, as others state, were there for 'the right' reasons (and I applaud them even if I disagree with them) whilst it appears that others were indeed there 'for the crack' rather than 'the cause'

I have read all the posts on this topic and I have come to the conclusion that for those in attendance the event went well and their message was put across clearly; if not to the wrong people, as Vincent Tan won't be listening. Heck, it won't even register on his radar!

One of the points someone else made is very pertinent, i.e. that many of those who attended today included those who ran on to the pitch versus Charlton and picked up the scarves versus Brighton...

They cannot have it all ways and they have to wake up and smell the coffee. Colour apart, Vincent Tan has been a highly positive influence on Cardiff City FC and has 'sorted' the club out in so many positive ways that it is a little hard to comprehend sometimes exactly how far we (as a club) have come in such a short time

1% turnout (less if you consider how many fans are also on the waiting lists and 'casual' attendees) hardly makes good reading for those who believe they can get this changed, does it?

No. I'm afraid you've all missed the boat on that one and deep down 99% appear to agree ;) :ayatollah:

Some people will do anything to knock down those who make an effort to get blue back, very sad people.

The majority wants blue, fact. :ayatollah:

This attitude is not going to do your cause any favours at all.

Even if Vincent Tan turned back to Blue tomorrow and installed back the new badge surely
all those people will still be 'against modern football' therefore making them the biggest bunch
of hypocrites ever should they start going back down.

As I said it the other day that I support a return to Blue but the AMF stuff is stupid, its a convenient side argument
as the fact is there wont be any marches for 'Against high ticket prices'. 'Against High Wages', 'Against trips to modern stadiums to watch us play world class players'.

Drop the AMF stuff and I think they may get more support.

300 @ the against modern football march on a nice sunny bank holiday; 2500 protest on a wet March Saturday against Peter Ridsdale and the Golden Ticket Scam.

It would appear that only the hard core of moaners turned out for this pretty pointless demo. Now is not the time for this kind of crap and TBH if anything it has harmed the return of the blue because the club quite rightly will note that 2200 of those motivated for the Ridsdale march did participate in this protest/celebration or whatever.

When will fans begin to think with their heads instead of their feet?

The majority of those 2,5k were already in Cardiff for the match, hardly fair to compare the two.

You say now is not the time; when is the time then? All people on this message board said was "do it after the season, so you don't affect the squad." They do & people STILL moan about it!

If they want to do something to stand up for what they believe in, so be it. Who are you or anyone else to tell them not to?

Well done on the event.
Great to have loyal supporters turning out for my club.

I and a few family members couldn't go due to a family event and I know
Six or seven who were on a weekend away but would have been there.

Tan played us and tbh we played him back a little by not doing
Anything until prem and a bit of financial security came to our club

Let's hope we can remain smiling and defiant.

We are all Cardiff City
Those 300 will be around long after Tan -
Question is:
Will our red brothers be there when we return to blue?

I hope so.....

No one really cares about the rebrand. Its yesterdays news for fans of other teams. They only cared last year because it was a current affair. Yes fans will come and sing about it when its fresh in their minds, of that there is no doubt, but we have been targeted by songs of other fans for decades and hated by most so hardly surprising. I wont lose any sleep over the fan of a rival team mentioning the rebrand.

They shouldn't bother anyone. If people are so weak they let the chants of other fans get to them then they really need to reflect on their life.

It had nothing to do with being against the red.

You have been so vocal about blue yet didnt bother going to this event because "you didnt know what was going on" Its been advertised on the radio for weeks by bluebird37 on this forum for weeks and weeks. Yet you still didn't know..........it was a blue event so I thought you would have gone down anyway to show support.

You've misquoted me there but okay.

All I read about it was that people were gathering outside the castle, wearing blue, holding up a banner saying "f**k modern football". There were also people mocking anyone who wouldn't turn up weeks before, therefore I didn't get a good impression of the event and I didn't want to show my support for something which seemed to be organized in the same way the unsuccessful march was. I thought it was going to be another pointless event so I didn't look much into it.

But it turned out to be a lot better than I thought and I fully knew what it was all about AFTERWARDS. So well done to those who did attend. :ayatollah:

But any excuse to mock fans who are against the changes.

Keep playing the poor victim card, someone may listen :thumbright:

Nobody mocked you about the changes, i mocked you because you kept on about the blue (fair enough, probably more than most on here) saying what a cracking event it was etc etc, then came out with "I would've turned up if I knew more about it" when its been advertised for weeks if not months on the radio. You could have private messaged Annis (he knew the organiser) or Bluebird37 who has been on here constantly advertising it but apparently that was too much effort. I was never going to go but I even managed to find out what was happening by asking the question on here about 2 weeks ago.

Seems a cop out to me.
