I don't really trust the man, I don't believe him personally - my point was though, that many people DO trust him implicitly YET when it comes to that statement about good hands, they suddenly choose not to, because it suite their agenda.

Not saying you are one of those, by the way.

Or

In blue in league 2 with a team of has been and never will be, a second rate manager and any half decent player queuing up to jump ship.

I'll take the red.

That isn't the question though, how do you know we would be in League Two if we didn't change to red? You don't, that's just a massive assumption.

The fact that you would choose Premier League football and embarrassment over identity and dignity says it all.

Well,we wouldn't be in the prem in blue and as for embarrassment and dignity speak for yourself only. Its all in the mind-your mind.

How do you know? And speak for myself? The football world has been laughing at us for nearly a year, open your eyes.

Re: Would you like us to go back to blue?

We are a strange club, always have been, so diverse. I was looking at the sea of fluorescent yellow Dortmund fans yesterday and thought we never have been like that. I grew up in the 80's when "shirted" fans were considered a strange underclass, not worthy to be classed as "Cardiff".
Cardiff or the valleys, pro the current manager or against, now red vrs blue. We have never been united.

Never been a hooligan, witnessed lots of it, understood the casual thing and still find it a bit strange to see 40 year old plus men in replica shirts red or blue. Don't know my Aquascutum from Stone Island it could be river island for all I know, but the second half of the season I spent too much of my time considering what i was going to wear to a bloody football match !!!!!!!!! Two of my nicer (warmer) coats and jackets are bloody red, before the Redgate evening I didn't care what I wore to a football match, since then everything is a statement.

Would love Blue, my kids wear a red top (she was a mascot) the other last seasons home blue, so they cancel each other other, I wear any colour bar red, but its got a little silly really.......

harold pinta wrote:I believe that pretty much 100% of us would love to see us back in blue, but our fans have to stop buying and wearing red. Tan is desperate for us to start wearing red, he proved this fact by spending thousands of pounds on scarves and trying to get us to wear them by giving prizes for doing so. Despite this, other than the Brighton game there have been less and less scarves on display. There are of course those fans that will always buy the home shirt no matter what, but if you have to buy a shirt next season, it would speak volumes and really help the cause for a return to our traditional home colours if you buy the blue away kit.

Tan can make the players wear red, he can change the website to red, he can change the stadium to red, but he cannot make us fans wear red.

It is the most simple effective way of getting our point across.

BLUE ARMY!!

agree 100 % hate the red kit and badge and it was very disrespectful of Tan to do what he did.

Re: Would you like us to go back to blue?

No.

Vincent Tan has been the best thing ever for this club.

1. Premier League
2. Going to settle the debt and float the club to look for investment
3. He backs the manager and his ability
4. New training facilities
5. Better engagement with the community especially the young and disabled
6. The reputation of the club has got better during the Tan era
7. Stadium expansion planning is underway
8. Better quality of players coming to the club

...and all you have to is accept red. It's not hard. I think we've got the better end of the deal.

Dai Hunt???? Fair enough, Craig, I'll accept that one!!!!  :ayatollah:

The rest is 'just banter' and any team's supporters will do what they can get away with to wind up any other given team when they are either jealous or just horrible c***s (like Stoke City fans) ;)

We're no worse (and probably a lot better these days) than others these days and have to say that on the many away trip I attended this year I got on very well with the locals I met and most (in fairness) wished us well :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Why shouldn't we believe what tan says.so far he's come through with all his promise's i.e investment in players, new training ground, stadium expansion, not to mention saving us from going bust.he's also given us something we really needed, stability and lets not forget premiership football.I for one hope he stays for many years to come.

Feck me, mate. Wait for the onslaught from the 'Negativos' :o

How dare you come on here and post something that is pretty straghtforward, i.e. that 'all the above' in exchange for a change of shirt colour is not really a bad deal under the circumstances we found ourselves under before VT arrived

Great 'post' as far as I am concerned and exactly 'why' the majority of fans are 'realists' when it comes to reluctantly accepting the colour change ;)

Most will agree IMHO but the loudest ones (with the negative agendas they can't really justify) won't :( :ayatollah:
