I think the concept is a very good one. But most posts I've seen on here and CCMB seem more interested in the booze Than the blue.
I hope it goes well, just have my doubts.like I said. Make it more fan friendly and you will get a lot more support.
The problem with your doubts, is that they stem from one poster mentioning taking 'tinnies' & a hypothetical banner containing a censored swear word.
More than one poster & the fact that the email reads about going to the Neville to continue drinking.
Well you only mentioned the word *tinnies* in inverted comas, this word seemed to really grate on you.
Nothing wrong with drinking at a celebration, it happened down the bay, did you have a tipple?

No I didn't.
If you're comparing the event to the bay, you've got big problems

Who has said 'lets all get pissed' ...Again you are misrepresenting the event and putting potential attendees off going. Are you jealous of this event superseding your meeting?

Thats about the jest of it I would say.
For someone who hates the red so much, all he has done for days is pour scorn on this event.
Strange man.

We either want to get fans and the public onside or we just want to gorge our own egos and put across that ALL football fans are still heavy drinking and foul mouthed.
These things don't worry me but I am not the type of fan that you are trying to reach out to. Why even alienate ONE fan that could be offended when you could easily do it without the swear word.
It's as if we want and excuse for it to fail.

At jubilee park opposite the stadium
Free entry
Everyone wearing blue.
Make it a charity event whatever raised goes to them .
Two local teams playing a friendly maybe the 2 message boards against each other or the supporters club v trust .
A couple of kids games going on for the younger fans , there's plenty of teams who will turn up for the day .
Bouncy castles and soft play for toddlers so all the family can go .
Billy the badge selling some merchandise .
Ask a burger bar to turn up to supply refreshments .
Ask the well known cardiff pro blue supporters ( Nathan Blake ) to turn up and meet and greet supporters.
Invite tan and or other club officials so they can see the fans feelings for themselves .
Invite the local press and have a spokesman explaining what the day is all bout in the correct manner .
Don't !!!
Bring offensive banners
Swear or abuse fans who don't agree with you
Get blind drunk making family's nervous
Leave behind a mess
Easy and very cheap to organise , I'm sure you would have loads more there than just sitting outside the castle especially on a bank holiday weekend
