Colour for me, I think, Blue birds are our identity

Playing home in a RED shirt is by FAR the worst.

Our badge, in one way or another, changes most seasons. I would say the kit colour change hurt the most by far. So disrespectful to our club and its traditions.

Badge

As they say "time is a great healer". I will always think of us as a team that wears blue (I even named my dog blue) but, although I never thought I'd say it I am already getting used to red. If we can't change back I would be OKAY if we kept a blue away and always had some blue element to the home shirt (sleeves, stripe, chevron etc). That seems like an ideal way to bring in the new but still recognized the tradition.
The current badge gets to me more, even with the afterthought of the bluebird. Again, it would be much better to address this with respect. I have no problem with a dragon on the badge (we have had one for a lot of our history) but there must be a way to blend the two much like some of examples shown on the forum.

Playing in Blue. You can't see the badge on the players shirts from the stand but you can see them running around in red shirts!

Blue shirt for certain, even with that awful badge.Badges change, the colour should remain.

For me definitely the colour change, we have had numerous badge changes over the years

The red is the worst not bothered about the badge

Would be the blue shirt for me, I don't like the badge but when I saw Cardiff city play on sky in the blue kit it just bought it all back to me and It immediately felt like I was watching Cardiff city again

The loss of the bluebird for me. Don't like red either but despite it all we are still Cardiff city fc and are the same club that was founded in 1899 as Riverside unlike our 2 closest rivals who were both reformed in the 80s.

I hate them both and want them both changed but if pushed and only 1 could change I would say the shirt back to blue.

I dont see why he changed our badge hes trying to take credit for giving us a Welsh dragon on the badge, but our traditional badge had the Welsh dragon on anyway , it really winds me up that he messed with our tradition

I detest both. We are the Bluebirds though and should play in blue.

Shirt change the badge has been changed quite a few times

When it was announced the badge hurt the most but... Up until I watched us in blue away from home an realised what we once were it hurt more than I first realised. If they took the bluebird away then the badge but if we kept this badge with the blue bird the colour!!!

Back to blue please

This was the question that was asked to me, by a senior official in the club, the day after I attended the first meeting, last May, of fans representatives regarding the re-branding.
My reply, after some thought, was "the badge".
"So you don't mind the red!" was the response back to me.
"No, I don't like the red, but that wasn't the question, you asked which one hurt me the most and it is the badge because you have taken the bluebird off the badge (remember when the new badge was first shown to us the bluebird was not on there), everything I identify with and relate to regarding Cardiff City FC is embodied in the bluebird and that has been taken away!".
Thankfully for small mercies the Bluebird was reintroduced.
So after a season of playing in red, the question I have is this :
If you could decide which of the two (Blue shirt or badge), which one would you pick to return?
Do not say both as the vast majority, if not all, of City fans would want them both but you are allowed to choose either the return to Blue shirts or our badge.
I would choose the badge myself, simply so I could wear leisurewear, away shirt, etc and see the badge with the prominent Bluebird on the front of the stadium and everywhere else.
Which would you decide and why?
Is the aim to now undo the good work of the post you made a few weeks back?
Nathaniel, I don't understand why you have suggested that making this thread is undoing any work.
After a season of turmoil regarding the re-branding, I was simply interested in what part of the changes bothered supporters if indeed they are still bothered.
After a truly special season on the pitch I am curious to see if anyone had mellowed on either the badge or colour or both.
What do you consider is wrong with the question I have asked ?

The red is the worst but the Bluebird came from the fact we play(ed) in BLUE anyhow..
So if I had a choice it'd be having the colour back
