I would agree to a point; however I think it’s an explanation not an excuse.

He is in affect protecting the 'bluebird' i.e. Cardiff City; with the Dragon (the rebrand/his cash).

Ensuring the survival of CCFC is in no way disrespecting anyone and I certainly do-not feel that way nor do the majority of fans who accepted the rebrand last summer in exchange for a package which includes a £100m investment in the infrastructure of the club.

I honestly believe that we can eventually lobby VT into reverting back to blue, but he isn't going to do that until he has proved his point.

That's why we should work with him to ensure success and then take our dividend in the form of reverting back to blue.

I already have a high regard for Vincent Tan but that regard would go off the scale if he contemplated returning back to blue.

I AM SURE YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION CARL.!!
MR TAN has done an amazing job along with numerous others , TG, Borley etc in saving our club from a potential collapse and even extinction.

That said , If he returned our Blue shirts at Home , I along with the I believe the majority of fans would be absolutetly ecstatic.
He could become a Legend overnight.
But he comes across as a Man who will make decisions and stick to them , so I think we will be wearing Red at home next season.
I really hope that I am wrong , but I dont think so.

He didnt SAVE our club he TRANSFORMED it. Some might see that as saving, yes we could have ended up playing Newport County very quickly just like the team who beat us in the Cup Final, but someone else may have come along and saw the potential, catchment area, capital city status and so on and invested and took us forward in a different direction keeping our identity and heritage intact.

So I dont buy that however, I am so grateful he has come along and led us to the Premier League thanks to his investment, luck and red had nowt to do with it just his dollar. And for that I salute him, a year its taken me to say that. If we returned to blue I will be ecstatic and wear my trousers around my ribs for the whole season.

It would go a long way to uniting this club and making Vincent Tan a legend.

It would galvanise the fans and make the stadium a bear pit.

VT underestimates how much of a plus our fans could be for him, especially next season when we're underdogs

If VT ever did return us to blue then it would be better than winning a cup final on top with Premier League football :ayatollah:

Imagine he said, we remain red and I change debt to equity (as is supposedly intention) or I will change us back to blue and hold onto my loans until someone else comes in.

Good question, I would like to know other people's comments on this Wayne.

See my response above to Annis on my view.

Return to Blue for me

Whilst VT is here I can't see us changing back to Blue, he's obviously thort it thorough about the change of color, and we all know his reasons for making us Red.
He's defiantly gonna give it a go next season to see how much money he can gain from the Asian markets
I'd expect another high profile Asian signing to help with this!
Anyway with all the money we supposedly get from going up, is this gong to make a dent in the debt?

my opinion of him changes slightly a few weeks back
and i think i made that clear in another thread, at the time of doing what he did i believe it was for what he saw as the best, for the club, and to market us more in asia.
i dont believe all this clap about it being lucky, but more as he put it that sunday as "happy" but he didnt take into account us old fans and looked to gaining new ones, ones who would only spend money on merchandise.
when you consider all his company, be it offices, buildings, even helecoptor is blue is hard to see where the thought came from.

with all that said, i would as i have in the past be happy to wear a red shirt, if it had our badge, a real cardiff (bluebirds) city badge on it, it would be fantastic too if that was on a blue shirt, be it the home or away one.
i think tan himself has had time to reflect on this and has noticed the upsurge of blue being represented, by us the home/away attending fan.

as i do in any part of my life, with day to day events, would forgive him for his mistake, and look upon him in the way we should have, for being the man who came in and sorted out our club and got us to the premiership.

what is it they say
"let he who has no sin cast the first stone" ?

bring back the badge Vince, put it on a blue/red shirt and become a legend in this part of gods country. :ayatollah:
you will be forgiven :notworthy:

id be happier if we returned to blue than winning the champions league. Our proper colour in the premier league would be tantastic :ayatollah:

Dr Robtnik likes red. blue is the colour of that pesky hedgehog!! :x

In all seriousness I would be over the moon with it and my opinion of Tan would go up a bit to be honest.

However I think we have more chance of seeing the Titanic complete that maiden voyage than we have of seeing CCFC play at home in Blue with Tan as chairman.

I really do believe the red is part and parcel of the plan to raise investment (as DT said at the outset)and I would be very very surprised if there was any real change.

if he changed us back to blue I would love it but the damage he has done and the anger and upset he has but me through he will never be any kind of hero in my book and I would never shack the mans hand.

Anyway its all hypothetical we are red and thats that and as long as king tan is here thats the way it will stay as a result I hate the man with an immense passion.

To do what he has done you have to be bigger than the club and nobody is bigger than any club not even Tan.

that is my honest opinion of VT .

I would forgive in a shot!!!.............I dont think that Tan realises what he has done, but if he decides that he made a big mistake and we go BLUE again, many of our fans would run back........but if he ignores what he is seeing and hearing from the fans then there are troubled times ahead.Yes.........he saved our club from the abyss and for that I will always be greatful, but cmon Vincent, listen to the fans for our new adventure in the Premier League.
