Leighton James: Action must be taken against Cardiff
Wednesday, May 08, 2013South Wales Evening Post.
SOUTH Wales Police and the Football Association of Wales should take action over the behaviour of Mark Hudson and other Cardiff City players during their promotion celebrations.
A club captain has a position of responsibility so should not be chanting offensive songs about his side’s rivals on an open top bus parade.
When Alan Tate and Lee Trundle held up a flag containing a obscene message at the Millennium Stadium in 2006, they were fined, banned for a game and received a police caution.
How is this any different to that?
If the FAW and police are to appear consistent, Hudson and the others involved should be hit with a similar punishment.![]()
There is footage available on the internet so anyone can see exactly what the players were belting out as they moved through the Cardiff streets.

Hey! It's just banter too the likes of us and I'm certainly not offended, I think it's quite funny. However, I do wonder what sort of message this is sending out to the younger element of your support. You know, the ones that you got the family club of the year award two seasons running for? Doesn't this send out a message to those young kids that it's ok to sing these songs in schools and on the street? As I said, It's funny to us oldschool fans. But football has moved on and your players have a duty too maintain the status quo. It all seems a little hypercritical of you all too on one hand proudly accept these awards whilst condoning the actions of your star players does it not?

What happens to Tate's neck at 3:04, crickey!!! Looks like one of the alien of Men In Black!
Anyway, got appreciate the large crowd, the stage and lighting, the host presenter and the firework display. They know how to throw a party down west!
