Re: ' Mini Update ' MAYNARD TO RETURN SOONER THAN EXPECTED

Do you think that the medical and back up team at the City are a bunch of volunteer first aiders, we have a set up the envy of many Premiership teams, experts in everything from diet, nutrition, recovery, performance, mental attitude, everything from toenails upwards.

let the experts deal with it and make the decisions they are paid to, chill out and support the club and leave the decisions to the decision makers. :old:

I dout he will play, if he does it will be one game with the last 10 mins or something

whats the point, id rather him not play, get even fitter over summer , let his injuries heal longer and come fighting fit for next season!

If you read my post - I've also agreed that if he is FULLY fit then great, it is my thought that it would be silly to rush him in unnecessarily, when a full pre season could see him work wonders.

Just my thoughts.

I think he might be used for the last two games, of course if you ask the player himself he will say he's ready. lol i think most players will say they are ready with a severed leg, hanging on by some veins.

But if the medical team give the thumbs up, Malky will use him. He's not going to think "Oh, we have a good players who could make a difference, player said hes ready, medical teams said hes good to go, but i wont risk him."

I believe if Malky gets the thumbs up, hes in the team

Would love it if Maynard scored the goal that got us promoted. Would be the perfect confidence boost for him as his season was ended so early on.

And you think Malky will RUSH him back do you?

What part of he's looking as fit as a fiddle did you not quite grasp?

And as for "players who haven't played for a while normally pick up an injury" - it's better to play him now than in three months time innit by your logic?

I gave up weed but you pair of pillacs are tempting me back to it!

And chill...........

Its completely different between running about in trainign then playing 90 minute matches. If we dont play him he can get a full pre-season under his belt so he will be less likely to get an injury.

I think the only pillock here is you. Its called having an opinion. As for looking as fit as a fiddle we only have Carl's word not the physio's completely different.

He's at training, full contact, overhead kicks..........I'm no physio but, if I was and I didn't think my player had recovered from a knee injury, then I doubt I'd let him near this kind of training session!

The medical staff have obviously observed him in these type of sessions, and they have now safely handed him over to his responsible manager to plan on getting him match fit.

Of all this talk of opinions.........the only fecking opinion that matters regarding Maynards fitness is the medical staffs and the player himself. :malky:

Did you conveniently miss the point about Malky not RUSHING him back (it was written in capitals for a reason sharp eyes)!

That's what I call selective reading!

If he's fit in Malky's eyes, fit in the physio's eyes and feels fit in himself where is the problem? I trust their opinion a lot more than I will ever trust yours.

Make that three pillocks.........honestly, it beggars belief!
