Weather i get done or not.
And to be fair im not sure who the lads i met in the ninian are but tidy lads in all fairness and gad some good banter.

In fairness you are right, you were debating well here - but that's because it is including Swansea. When it comes to Swansea being smaller than Cardiff for example (which stats and historically is proven to generally be the case) you start abusing instead of counter-discussing.

One thing that nobody can deny is that Swansea are streets ahead of us at the moment - we are getting there and look set to be stood alongside you next season - I can see why you are worried. ;)

Please though, stop all the big guns of meet me to discuss is etc. it looks deer ate and pathetic - and that's the same to any Cardiff fan that does the same. :malky:

Ps not worried as the prem is nothing lime the champ.
You will strugle unless u spend 15mill up wards.
We had a good balanced team who could defend and attack.

Didn't people say that about you, Norwich, Stoke, Southampton, Hull, Wigan & countless others who were promoted?

Plus, we will spend.

Thing is we were better suited to prem football with the way play and hold on to the ball.
And had players in allen williams dyer and sinclair who were prem clas and stood out in the champ and along with taylor.
As for crowds!cardiff have been atop 6 side for a long time in the xhamp and puahing for the prem.
Throw in a fa cup final and league cup final, and you will have bigger crowds.
We only spent 2 seasons in the champ and had no finals exept the playoffs.
So yes you would have had bigger crowds.
But if u look at when u went in to the champ and your crowds were only 12to 13 k it took u 10 years to get the 20 odd k mark .
We were getting 15 k in our 2 seasons in the champ wile u had 13 in yours

Big fan base outside of Wales. Now all you need is a lot more fans in Wales. I live about 10 miles north east of Bridgend. Very, very rarely see a swans top/car sticker. You got a shit support considering your in your 4th top flight season since 1981.

Excuses are neither here nor there - the facts are quite simple.

When you got into championship you already had a new stadium, while we were still at Ninian - it's quite well known that a new stadium boosts crowds.

Still - doesnt mean that we will automatically struggle. People saying the same about you were proved wrong. :thumbright:

In my opinion clubs that are to close together lose a bit of that "edge" needed to keep the tension there, to own up, I do have the odd Jack acquaintance, but I wouldn't want to work and socialise with too many too often, nice to keep a bit of edge to it.

Most other famous derbies, liverpool-Everton, Spurs- Arsenal, Man U- City, and quite a few others no longer have that edginess which made it so tense, it's all a bit sterile now, and I'm not advocating violence, but most fans will know where I'm coming from.

Anyway, back to the original point I was trying to make, next year's derby will catch the attention worldwide and it will be rightly built up into a great rivalry and derby, and to think it will be in the Premiership is amazing. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I seen something about this on the web last year, & it was Wolves & W B A, O yes and it wasnt put up by a Wolves or Baggie fan

How many 5mill plus players do u have at the moment?we had the 5 i said but we had a well balanced team who didnt let many goals in but scored goals.
As for fans yes i think in wales u do shade it but not by the amount u think.
But we have a far bigger fan base out side and europe.
We have sold over 50k tops.
We aint a big club by a long way and never will be but you allso aint.

I can't believe some of the comments in this thread. Our derby is special but no different to the countless others. Lower crowds mean ore chance of trouble. It would kick off if it was any other derby. You call the Manchester clubs plastic, like many have said there is a huge rivalry between the fans in that city and it was carnage at Wembley by all accounts. We both used to play in front of 5k fans regularly now we are in front of 20k, whose the plastic clubs??

We are in the top ten derbies but I am sorry not the top three. Some of you have an inflated perception of the South Wales derby.

Been to the Edinburgh derby at Easter road.

Really loud and loads of passion there. Plenty of banter between rival fans in the workplace, i'm always trying to wind up the jambos!

I would say the South Wales derby was better though and I think in the Prem it would be huge.

Celtic / Rangers has nothing to do with Religion. They hate each other....and of course that hatred was built up on the city's divide.

As for us and swansea town........... utter nonsense. No one gives a toss about us.

How many players do you currently have that cost £5m or more? The last time I checked we had five but they were members of a well balanced team and we conceded few albeit scoring many goals.

As for fans I do think that you, Cardiff City FC, do have more and are better supported but its nowhere near the amount you think it is.

We however, have a far larger fan base out side of Wales and in Europe. We have sold over 50,000 tops.

We are nto a big club and never will be but you're also not a big club.

I have lots of jack friends and acquaintances, most of the people I meet in work are jacks. There is no place in my career for serious cardiff/jack rivalry, but come match day they're all "YOU JACK BASTARDS"

A big deal in South Wales but It's clearly not the biggest derby in the UK, even using different city criteria. I doubt if the average british fan would even name it in their top ten. We're not yet even in the showbiz league and people are getting giddy. :P
