They bought an extra CB on at half time pushing Chorluka and Srna further up the field rendering our midfield void.
The game swang in their favour and from that moment we were chasing the game. Bringing on jazz for Kanu was as you said our best option to try and counter it. But the game momentum was already away from us then.

Which is what people are trying to tell you. They were the better team so won. It wasn't due to the fact we brought jazz on that we lost, it was the fact we had to make a change and had no strength in depth... Which then brings us back to our orevious argument of why we have such a poor pool of players to chose from. No manager in the world can magic players for selection at international level. We must play the cards we are dealt, if it's not enough then that's that and it wasn't.

Calm yourself... People don't tell me anythiñg mate I make my own decision and opinions.

I am not one who follows trends and jumps on band wagons, I have my own views and opinions.

I do realise that if we had all our players fully fit then we could match many on our day. But we have always had that.

We have beaten bigger teams than Croatia in the past just look at the programmes I posted "Germany and Brazil" 2 most successful international sides in the history of the game and we beat em both.
I watched both games as a kid and dreamed the dream.

So even back then we had the limited quality.
But you need more than a fast car to win the race, you need someone who knows how to drive it well .

Without a doubt.
But you have to wonder. Had we won the game, and say Simon Davies scored the goal and later failed the test. Based on the sizes of the respected countries do you think Fifa would've still swept it under the carpet?

For gods sake man.

So your point now is what? We should have beaten Croatia because we beat Brazil and Germany in the past? you were on the other thread preaching we should not get ahead of ourselves and remember we are minnows!

You keep changing your point. Firstly it was that Coleman had a bad managerial record, when that was proven wrong you then decided I wasn't allowed to bring up his past achievements and had to focus on the fact he resigned from two of his posts regardless of how successful he was. Then this changed to you would have preferred Dutch ray to get it regardless of the fact he has no experience, qualifications and resigned from his only semi managerial post.

It would help if we had a fast car capable of winning a race before we even look at the driver. Croatia are a much better side than us and we matched them with a depleted side for 75 minutes.

In the order of your last post, the way you have worded it, go through our entire debate tonight. Every single post. If you reach the points of your post in the order you rank them in then fair enough. But you won't.

Because what you have just posted is not accurate in the slightest.

My original post of the evening on the whole matter was this;

Should never have been given the chance.

Given the scenario of which the job came about its my opinion that Dutch Ray (Then Current No2) deserved the chance.

You then spent the next few hours quoting Cookies achievements and the manor of which he lost his jobs.

You said Coleman should never have got the job.

-----I asked why?

You said his managerial record was awful

----- I showed you that in fact it's quite good

You said that I wasn't allowed to tell you what he achieved but had to purely focus on the fact he resigned and got sacked from his jobs regardless of the success he had.

----- you then said Dutch Ray should have been given the job.

I pointed out that he has no managerial experience and resigned from his only partial managerial position (he's since resigned from World giants Armenia - who also didnt see fit to give him the role of number 1).

----- you then inexplicably changed your whole argument saying we shouldn't forget who we are and not get ahead of ourselves.

I reminded you that it is YOU expecting us to beat the like of 9th ranked Croatia.

----- you then told me that we should be expected to beat teams like that because we have beaten Germany once and Brazil once in previous decades.

You then said it was colemans fault we lost because he brought on jazz Richards.

----- I then told you the quality of the bench was weak and we had to make a change. It was not the fact he chose jazz that changed the game but the fact he had to bring someone on. No matter who he brought on would have had the same effect as the bench isn't good enough.

I don't see what your point is anymore and I'm not even sure you do to be honest.

Yes we have established that. Why do you keep quoting that?

So then,

1) why shouldn't have Coleman have got the job as he had a more impressive CV than any candidate you have mentioned.

2) why should Ray Verhaijen have been given the job when he has a non existant managerial CV and quit the only semi managerial positions he has had (Wales and Armenia).

Answer these and people might start understanding what the hell you are talking about because right now you are sounding like a complete fruit cake.

(And it's not 2am here it's 12.19pm lunch time actually)

Should never have been given the chance

Had Speed been sacked, there would've been fair reason to alter the coaching set up.
Since Gary ( god rest his soul) was unable to continue his work,I found it a bit disrespectful to Gary and to the progress he had made with the squad to change it all.
They could've left Ray with the rest of the staff to see how much progress could be made.
Rambo the current Captain gave his backing to this, and Is perhaps why he isn't captain now.

I have already stated I like Cookie, but not as a manager...

That is why I posted this comment .

Ok the mystery is getting solved for the riddle of your opinion....

Right and that is fine for your opinion. Although the Welsh FA were fully correct to go for a man with a better CV. Colemans reign has been remarkably similar to that of Speeds so far and Speed has only managed 1 more game. Although you are within your rights to want a man that is regarded as a bit of a loon and a proven liar, it's your opinion after all.

So that's part 1 of the night wrapped up....

You then went on to say Coleman didnt have a good managerial record and wouldnt accept what he had done at each club. Can you explain that please.

Re: Well done Wales

And I stand by that quote.

Yes, I know that I've already transcribed that part. Let me break it down a little more for you then as I tried about 3 hours ago to which I simply got the response "I don't understand".

1) Larissa - he resigned over a financial dispute. He took them to top of the league after only losing 1 match in 14 conceding only 3.

2) Fulham - he took relegation favourites Fulham to 9th in the league. Fayed sold their stars and he still kept them up.

3) Sociadad - another favourite for relegation. When he resigned over a dispute wi the new president of the club they were 5th in la liga and lost once in a quarter of a season.

It is your failure to acknowledge the above which is probably most confusing to everyone yet you still maintain there was nothing in his CV that would suggest he'd be a good manager.

So then..... Please enlighten us as to why you feel the above is no indication he is a good manager.

Then we will be getting somewhere.

Misquoting Wiki all night and then Misquoting the person your disagreeing with does not count.
And I did not abuse you, I merely pointed out that you were a WUM.

Are you a f*cking idiot. Or generally retarded?

I have not once slated Chris's CV. I have stated he was sacked twice and he quit twice.
Irrelevant of the conditions he did get sacked and he did quit.

Nor have I ever stated that Ray's CV is Better than Chris's CV.

I have told you my reasons as to why I wanted Ray to be given the chance to finish the job, and have not denied that he may be a few pickles short of sandwich as you have alluded to that on several posts.

If you don't understand that, then I suggest you just give up on the whole concept of understanding other people have different opinions to yours.

Oh some more name calling and swearing, how novel.

Back to your odd stance you said, and I quote "there was nothing in Colemans CV to ever suggest he would be a good manager"...

I have since asked what is wrong with his CV - you have failed to answer. As we have established, whether he was sacked or quit has no baring on the quality of his CV - di matteo got sacked after winning the champions league,

It ended with him leaving them in a much better position that which he took over them, Coventry apart. I'm left amazed by your inability to look at what he achieved as opposed to what happened with regards to his contract.

Martinez left Swansea was he a success? Laudrup resigned from Brondby after winning manager if the year, he then resigned from Spartak and Real Mallorca was he not a success as a result? Di Marteo won the champions league and got sacked months later - was he not a success? Do I continue?

So ill ask again - what part of his achievements at his previous clubs do you not consider a success? Ill go through them again incase you forgot....
