I really can't believe the majority of you in this thread would honestly think Ledley would walk into any lower half of the table Premiership side and be able to consistantly play at a level good enough to keep his place in the team. I thought some of you were more intelligent than that. Let's see how he does away to Croatia Tuesday. With Ramsey banned I'm worried Ledley's limitations will be there for all to see (again).

Joe does the things that thickos don't notice like keep one of the better midfields in Europe on their toes constantly hence why they didn't break through our defence bar a few wild shots.

Ledley does work hard yes. But he's nothing creative. Can't beat a man, that's why we struggled to make many chances yesterday. He can't shoot and can't tackle or open up a team. Granted he won us a pen but im pretty sure it was a poor touch. I'll also give him the credit that he got into a good position for it. im not bitter, i can honestly say i thought he was useless the last 2 years he was with us. Brilliant the cup final year and i think that is why his value went up

ledley would walk into our current team, anyone who doesnt think so is quite frankly an idiot.

have seen much of him since he left but after watching the last two wales ,he would easily walk into our side, i forgot how good he is, great engine , breaks play up and keeps it nice and simple ,would have him back in a heartbeat

Besides, I dont think he is in teh team for his creativity thats what the likes of Williams, Bellamy and Bale are in the team for. You cant have a team full of creative players, you need some workers as well. Water carriers as Cantona once described Didier Deschamps.

He is in the team for his hardwork and energy, and is able to drive forward. Breaks the play up and then the likes of Bale, Bellamy and Ramsey (Or Williams last night) are there to create.

As i said polo, i think it was a bad touch that took it past the player. Thats a fair comment that not everyone can be creative, i really just don't rate him. Would u still play him if everyone was fit? If it was a 5man mid, my 3 centremids would be rambo Allen and collison. That would mean id have Williams outwide. We got a nice group of footballers in midfield fair play

There is a lot of unwarranted dislike towards Ledley.

Karl, i can honestly swear i didn't rate him at cardiff and nothing to do with him leaving us. He seemed promising and as iv said above, 2007/2008 was his best season but its just my opinion. Id defo not want him back, if others do then fair enough

Would have him in the team before Collison and Williams. Williams is one for the future but a completely different player to Joe Ledley.

Yeah, he can't shoot.

He's not a playmaker, no but he's a engine in the midfield and does the dirty work.

Simply dont think he is good enough for the prem.
