Nor can you answer a simple question

I can't answer this one, no. You're saying about respecting him, when I can't. Simple as that. :thumbright:

So if you can't answer the proposed question why comment in the first place?
It couldn't be because you want people to know your views on the matter Baz.

I don't know Barry's views on the matter. I'm guessing he is renowned for being insular.
I'm sure he can post a view in which debates a good point

Who else would've paid that tax bill ?
Would HMRC have waited ?
Why the f**k are we RED ?

Were you a possible investor ?
I wish you were !

But in all seriousness , what are the names of the peopl that would have saved us ? It could have been so much better -

I've already posted my opinion of Tan. Thought he was great until he brought in this ludicrous rebrand.. Fans believe what they want to believe, though.

Tan has even said himself that he would leave the club in good hands if he were to leave.. People tend to forget that.

I'm quite happy to admit I thought tan was great - but the rebrand has ruined all that for me.

Thanks for that mate. I agree with your "ludicrous rebrand" comment. I have difficulty believing he "leave the club in good hands if he were to leave" because his interview made me believe he is ruthless and even vengeful.

Who else would have paid that tax bill though ? I don't know you so maybe you could have ?

Vociferous people have answers so I'm guessing you are part of a consortium who maybe would have helped ? If I've guessed right then you have respect from me pal :ayatollah:

Oops , that makes me look a tw*t. I thought he was a major player and money man because he criticizes Tan.

I honestly thought this guy could have paid that tax bill for the club.

Sorry Barry , your opinions are still welcome whilst I decide my footballing future.

As for Jinks. I am "real" - not that it should matter tbh. Many members of this forum have met me. Wrong again! :thumbright:

No Barry , I'm not claiming Tan is above being criticesd.
I am being honest , I thought you had a better plan which could be implemented to pay HMRC *i really thought you were part of a group who wanted to take over ---- apologies Bar , I meant no criticism of you or your opinions.

Die that is just propaganda coming from those who are licking Tans arse.

No one knows what would have happened if Tan had not stepped in. We had been in this situation a few times and survived it.

Ian I think that is totally rewriting history. We know exactly what would happened if part of VT's £6m investment in May 2010 hadn't been used to settle the HMRC tax bill which had a pending winding up order in the High Court i.e. we would have been wound up.

That is what happens in the High Court when tax bills are not settled, ask Glasgow Rangers.

I find it hard to understand how anyone can like him, given the complete disdain he shows towards us.

On the pitch we are doing well at the moment, so there is a certain amount of good will towards him from those who feel that success is more important than identity. If and when things take a down turn, I predict many of these same fans will turn against him.

This.

Put the ghastly rebrand to one side for a minute..

That interview he did with sport Wales showed he has no care/consideration for the fans at all. The lack of respect he shown was dreadful and made me lose any respect I had for the man.

No, he doesn't want to. He doesn't care what the "customer" thinks.. He said as much in the same interview.

It's a pity. He really would be a Cardiff hero if he had only kept the club in traditional blue & white.

I do not think the Sun shines out of anyone's arse.
But I'm also not as petty as to say "well I don't like the way he is doing this,so he is a **** and I wish he would just **** off". I have however accepted that without his investment at a time when no one else was willing to pay our debts off we would've been in very serious situation.(how serious? No one will ever really know)
He has kept investing and is now pushing ahead with radical plans to maximise his investment.
I don't agree with all his plans but its safe to say Tan isn't really interested in what I or anyone else has to say.

Will Cardiff be around forever? I certainly hope so.
Will Tan be at the Helm forever? Probably not.
Will we be Red 5/10/15 years from now? Who knows.
But I will support them still. As I would've supported a newco had we been liquidated. But I would never want to be liquidated. Them our history and heritage would've been flushed down the toilet.

That's my view and opinion. Respect it or not, it's mine.

Just like managers, almost all football owners will eventually become unpopular, success cannot last forever. At the moment there are people expressing their love for tan, but it's not him they love, it's his money. As soon as things go tits up they will be calling for his head just the same as all the others.

As the OP said "it's easy to say why you don't like the man" - your not bloody kidding mate!

I'm not the only one who does not respect Tan..

I read the WHOLE of the opening post which asked for opinions on Tan. It asked that people TRY to be positive.

I tried & I couldn't. So I gave my honest opinions.

Even if you disagree, calling members insults rather than debating maturely says a lot.

I have to say, ghastly is a very good way to describe the re brand. Other words I would use are despicable, abhorrent, crass, wretched and loathsome.

Tan does not give the tiniest bit of shit about our fans, he has made that quite clear. Love his money if you want, but why would anyone love the man. He certainly doesn't love you.
