Nope we got hammered to Serbia.

Not sure what that has to do with speeds record though.

Don't think we lost and played that bad under Coleman that's all.

Yeah we were awesome when we got thumped 3-0 to Ireland with only 1 shot in the whole match.

Look I am just going to the basis of the thread title, he doesn't deserve a new contract, I am done.

Then neither did Speed. He has done the exact same as him so far and there's only 3 games to go before he is equal to the matches speed managed.

Not just the Speeds start to the Welsh job - most of it.

Speed was only here for 10 games and after 7 of them both managers have the same record.

Says it all.

No it does not say it all

Speed RIP gave the Welsh fans hope for the future & was a Welsh legend

Im sorry & nothing against Coleman, he does not give me much confidence in the future of the international team when we have some terrific young players coming through the ranks

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Name 5

Williams from Palace. John, Wharton & others from Cardiff, Huws Man City, Lawrence Man Utd, Jones Liverpool & Jones Everton &over your way Davies & others im sure u could name etc

Wales have got a good chance of qualifying for the next Euro's in France in 2016 with more teams taking part, so getting the right manager in place is essential ASAP

Which bit of 'he has the same record so far as speed' is proving difficult for you?

I don't care about Colemans record, he will never be as widely respected as Gary Speed, a fine player who represented Wales & many other teams with distinction.

The reign of Coleman has so far been one public relations disaster after another, the captaincy & the disgraceful way this was played out in the public domain its like a circus

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -move.html

He is a very poor version of John Toshack

Bump.

Another great win for Colemans boys!

His record remains exactly the same as Speeds with only 2 more games to play until he reaches the 10 games Speed managed.

Well done Coleman, Well done Wales!

Latest table

1. Belgium
2. Croatia
3. Wales
4. Serbia
5. Macedonia
6. Scotland

A lot of annoyed Welsh people on here tonight, silence is what I expected though

He still doesn't deserve a contract.

Also 3rd.. 7 points behind the top 2 teams.

Then neither did Speed.

We were never going to finish above Croatia and Belgium. The aim of this campaign was to finish third to enable us a better draw for the next tournament, and hopefully keep building. We are a tiny nation.

Wales haven't qualified for a tournament since 1958. We are footballing minnows in Europe and always will be. Coming third in ANY group let alone this tough group where there are no obvious 6 pointers (San Marino, Andorra etc). I feel that you will never like Coleman, maybe because he's a Jack? Maybe because he wasn't your choice for manager? But he's doing a good job now and we should back him.

Who would you have to replace him?

Nothing wrong with him and nothing personal just baffles me how we always want a Welsh manager yet accept an English captain, no Welshman as a manager will take us forward.

I back him yes but just don't think he deserves a contract at the moment.

Agreed.

We need to give the best English speaking candidate the job. Captain doesn't have to be Welsh though, Williams plays with passion and his obviously proud to play for his adopted nation. Just like Earnie was!

I know it wouldn't happen but love someone like Nigel Adkins as manager.

I like Coleman and theres no dislike and tonights game showed me that he might have something to give the fans something to look forward to maybe in the future.

Still a lot of work to be done though but I hope he continues after this.

Nice to see some other talented Welsh players so their worth on the pitch aswell.

We need a goalscorer and a striker inform for us. :ayatollah:

f**k me you don't half talk shit , you can accept non born welsh players playing for wales you can accept williams playing for wales , but when he becomes captain you boycott welsh games
then when talking about managers you say no welshman is good enough and put adkins name up as next manager who is english and his only obvious link to wales is managing bangor

I say a manager who is English as no manager who's Welsh is good enough to take us forward.

I've always accepted non born welsh players to play for us but captain is a step to far for me.

so just because in your opinion there's no welshman good enough to pick the squad , the starting eleven , have input into every level of welsh football and basically have last say on anything to do with the welsh team you would quite happily have a foreign coach :?
but because they made williams captain you're boycotting wales

Well said that man, dont give a toss about Bluebirds/Jacks rivalries when it comes to Wales. Two separate things for me, no problems in hugging a Jack if we qualified for a major (fumagate myself later mind! :o )

It has nothing to do with being a Jack that doesn't concern me if it did I wouldn't be there supporting Wales for 7 years you idiots.

If we were to let go of Coleman, we wouldn't get anyone better in.

He's had experience in the Premier League, La Liga and in the Football League. He's generally been a success at wherever he's managed, bar at Coventry and is a good manager who is very passionate about Wales. He's far from perfect, but he's definitely worth backing and supporting because he's our manager and isn't doing a bad job.

Some people need to put Swansea/Cardiff aside, John Hartson gets so much criticism on here for being an assistant manager when his main role is coaching and nobody here's seen him coach.
