Everyone loves a bitter loser! Why does it matter to a Sheffield Wednesday what Cardiff city does? I'm confused. Dave jones' bitterness is rubbing off on your lot.

So lets just leave him have his fun as he obviously has nothing else to do with his live than to come on a Cardiff city message board and show the bitterness of yesterday's game.

Not bad considering that minor rugby match that was on in our city centre.

The noise you made was shocking, you had a drum and that was it, plus what was that sudden "way" about? You all did it 3 times during the game, proper strange! You have a small gathering of fans to the left of the away fans, thats it!! To the right was just empty seats!!! You brought just as much following to us aswell btw.

JUST BECAUSE WERE TOP OF THE LEAGUE THIS DOESNT PUT £60 IN THE POCKETS OF THE FANS DOES IT?!?!?!

They didn't travel in big big numbers to us?

Our game was a sunday game, would have sold out being on a saturday and don't forget we had'nt won in the seven games before we had played you! City away is poor and there ain't an excuse for it! ;)

No Sam, I've seen you come to Cardiff a few times on a Saturday and fetch about a 1000.

Baz we sold out the season we went down, and we haven't had nothing to play for one the other occasions but i do recall coming to Ninnian park in 84 and taking over the ground with 10,000 + and being allover the pitch at the end, but i think you was still in your nappies back then! ;)

Yes I was in my nappies in 1984 but I've never seen you sell out ninian park since.

Re: AWAY SUPPORT!!!

Just dug out a programme from 2006 and it says Sheffield Wednesday brought 310 fans to ninian park in 2006. I don't remember Wednesday fetching that low so I think the correct amount would be about 810 that day.

I think that was the Wednesday fans celebrating because Sheffield united conceded another goal

My first city game was against Plymouth in 1994, I seem to remember their support being piss poor that day.

The likes of wednesday, leeds etc always resort to "well weve got more fans then you" when theyve been outplayed on their own patch
Wednesday fans behaved like their manager bored and disinterested,Few seasons ago we pretty much sent them down by winning 3-2 and their away support was impressive. On saturday the biggest cheer was for stevenage-pretty embarassing really

Re: AWAY SUPPORT!!!

Away support is no different to when we were top of the league under Dave Jones; We have been in this division 10 years and many supporters are picking and choosing their favorite stadiums. Since the turn of the year with the exception of Middlesboro & Leeds we have traveled in good numbers, with Watford heading for a sell out and peterboro over the thousand mark before last weekend our away support is on the up. Since christmas we have had many people return who haven't traveled in a while and that trend continues to rise.

Sheffield hasn't been one of the friendliest places to travel to over the years either for Cardiff city supporters i remember the police putting dogs on one of the rhondda coaches before anyone got off a few years ago. Stadium is tired dilapidated, and that leppings lane end amazes me how it hasn't been flattened considering what happened there, that tunnel is eerie underneath the stand, restricted views inside, 20 minute walk to get a pint until this season for the first time they served Alcohol in the ground, its hardly a good advert to bring your family to watch an away fixture.

Re: AWAY SUPPORT!!!

Our away support is down in my opinion because of the stripping of our identity, many dont go away anymore.
Our away support compared to our home support is shocking, compared to how we use to travel in mass numbers, years ago.[/quote]             When have we ever traveled in consistently in Mass numbers?? our best ever average was 1200-1300 when we first got promoted back to this level, at no other time in my lifetime have we consistently got anywhere near those numbers apart from the odd glory game!!!

Our support is good when you take into account our train travel prices are extortionate compared to places like yorkshire, lancashire where you can travel to london for £8; our cheapest mode of transport are coaches which are on average £25-£30 before you buy a ticket.

Our support is no different now to what it has always been!

Vince it's good to have a honest sensible reply from someone for a change! My opinion was that you have 23,000 at home, your in the best position to get promotion you ever have been for many a years your talking about waiting list for season tickets and expanding capacity of the ground saying you can get 35,000 in at home games.but your away support ain't that good. What happens when you do get promotf and its £50-£60 for an away ticket before travel ex. Do you think your away support would get any better! My ophnion only!

Re: AWAY SUPPORT!!!

You started the thread Sam
How about an honest, sensible reply to why your home crowd was so quiet. The most noise was made when bellers twatted a defender and for Stevenage
Seems your managers personality has rubbed off on your fans
