Zabier wrote:This whole thing with us fans arguing... I'm tired of it. I'm fed up of Cardiff supporters kicking off with Cardiff supporters.

I feel very deflated this morning. I didn't accept a red scarf because it's a clear attempt at Vincent Tan manipulating our support to back his case to push on with the red re-brand. After last night, all he has to do now is say "well, look at how many people wore the red scarf".

If you are fine with the re-brand and have no problem with that then all the power to you. However, if you honestly believe it was a generous innocent gift from Tan then you clearly are a very naive individual.

I've never slagged people off for being pro-red or pro-blue. Personally, I am pro-blue but provided we have a club to support, I can tolerate the red kit. I won't tolerate a change of name, location or removal of the Bluebirds logo from the badge.

I honestly thought last night was going to be the moment when us fans showed how much we wanted blue back. Maybe us pro-blue supporters are in the minority? We were in the minority supporting us in League Two after all.

I am disillusioned. Not only because of what I saw last night but because now it seems I totally misjudged the general fan base's opinion on it. Will I get a season ticket for next season? Unless the club changes the location, club name or removes the bluebird from the badge then yes. That doesn't mean I can't hate what the owners are doing with the club. I'll still support the players. I just feel so disillusioned though.

What evidence do you have to suggest otherwise????

This is quite simply. A lie, or to be polite not true. I saw many fans tonight who go away regularly and have been following City for years, wearing red scarves. The only thing that concerned them was the result.

Everyone says that but the FACT is as short a time ago as 1998 the average attendance was 4,000.

i bet 15,000 of them last night hadnt been before 2000......

Been there since late 80s early 90s.. sorry to disappoint!

pmsl. Its because I was Junior School to comp age, my memory is a little fuzzy going back then.

Been to Plymouth away a few times and sat in both ends. Been to Hereford away and Arsenal. Been a season ticket holder since the FA Cup final. Remember watching Eddie Newton playing in mad fog from the family stand. Remember Echkhart, Dale, Philliskirk, Hansbury, Ward, Saville, Robbie James. So was probable 89/90/91 that I started going with my old man, so would have only been between 8 and 11.

sorry oh great omnipotent supporter that you are :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Ummmm, I've never quite had the money to purchase one before due to work and finances. I'd regularly go to games before that on a pay as you go basis. :sleepy2:

You would take conference football just to see cardiff back in blue go & have a look at FC United who were formed in protest against the malaysians they r in some south conference league semi pro team i know 4 a fact you anti-red lot will go to the first few games maybe a few thousand of you then you'll realise what a load of shit it is & you'll be back down Cardiff City stadium watching us in the premier league

:ayatollah: :malky: :ayatollah: :malky:

The standard of football isn't what's important to me right now, ever wise I wouldn't be complaining, we're top of the league and I couldn't care less at the moment. Stick your red scarf up your arse.

I would take league 2 in blue over the prem in red. I know its progress but we have laid down and took it up the arse. i would join any protest group in or outside the ground, but its prob too late and always was

the Blue meant a lot, but how far is this going to go

We may have to take it for now but a lot i know dont go because of it. the red is here but you look like a sell out. will you be bending over when the name changes from Cardiff City if it ever did.

Up the Bluebirds...keep the faith

If Tan changed the name from Cardiff City, there would be literally no point in watching them play as it would not be Cardiff. Literally.

I went to a racecourse a few years ago and they were handing out Coolmore Stud (light green) baseball caps. It was a bright day so I put it on. Now by wearing that cap did it mean that I was due to be mounted by Saddlers Wells ? No it was a bright day.

The ball is in the court of the keyboard whiners to do something. I suggest in the warm spring we organise a blue day. I suggest a warm day because underneath my daughters several layers of clothing lies a blue city top (I don't posses any football top although I own last years blue training gear). we can dispel the 18000 red top theory .

sadly only a couple of well meaning but delusional 16 years have attempted anything sort of resistance and failed at the very first hurdle.

Your welcome.
Sadly there is not and it really has hurt me.

So I will finish this Topic by saying yes those who wanted to remain Blue we had our chance once again last night and it was proved we are without a doubt the minority.

Don't agree with the rebrand? then
don't come on here moaning about it
Don't go to the games
Don't renew your season ticket. I
don't respect those who carry on watching but
don't have the cahonas to stand by their principles.
Don't go and then you can moan, or go to the games and
don't moan. There's no middle ground from now on.
Do what you have to do.

I visit both messageboards daily and its evident that there are a lot of anti-red supporters on each board, many being prominent and regular posters.

I would guess that say 30% of the posters on here would possibly support some form of protest or at least say they would, whereas amongst friends, work colleagues and people I speak to at games, whilst some will never wear red and dont understand the reasons for changing from blue, I have only ever spoken to one person who would probably go as far as to protest against what Tan is doing.

As someone who has no issues what colour shirt we play in and feel I understand Tan's reason for changing to red, I must admit to have been surprised by the sheer number of people wearing red scarfs at yesterday's game but it did confirm one thing for me - we all had a choice that night and the majority have spoken

The only thing that was spoken by the majority is that they will do almost anything for a freebie.
