I'm 100% behind the rebrand because it is our only hope of ridding ourselves of our historical debt, settling the Langston Loan Notes, conforming with the Financial Fair Play Regulations and establishing ourselves in the Premier League.

I personally don't like us playing in Red but I'm pragmatic enough to understand it is a price we HAVE to pay because it is part of Tan's vision and he is paying the bills.

Hope that clears things up.

Nope the rebrand included playing in red so if you dont support that then you cannot be 100% behind the whole rebrand.

TBH with you mate that is nit picking. OK if it makes you happy I'm 95% behind the rebrand if you take playing in red at 5%.

In my opinion if you are adamant you are against the rebrand then you shouldn't pay to enter that stadium whilst the dictatorship is in effect.

Of course that is your opinion and fair enough. The trouble is defining what 'adamant' is as we can all have several different versions of it (see my post above  )

Totally agree, genuinely feel sorry for those that it has effected badly, but totally respect those that have refused to support it by staying away.

As far as I see it, those who have accepted it are being called by some the sell outs, for simply accepting hings and moving on, to me the sell outs are those that moan and complain, blame others slate others and name call, yet go along and pays their money, yet somehow seem to think they have the moral high ground.

Cardiff City was formed when Riverside got rebranded. They sold their soul for the dream of playing in the English leagues and the chance to progress and sign better players.

I demand we be renamed Riverside AFC and have our old kit back. :malky:

You don't respect those that stay away. You have accused them of not being real fans. Real fans stick with the club through the good times and bad, is that not one of your sayings.

Re: Those against the rebrand

Tue Feb 19, 2013 3:04 pm

To me our colours, crest and traditions are more important than success or Premier League football. The rebrand was completely unnecessary, as it's the personal preference of one guy, thats all.

And you dont stamp on traditions and feelings of many loyal City fans who spent fortunes into the club over the years. Those kept the club alive, the passion and of course the money we all spent.

My passion for this current red club is non-existant, the passion for the real Cardiff City is still there and will always be there. I cant believe we are at the top of the CC and I dont feel anything...no excitement, no joy, no nothing.

I am exited as if Cardiff Rugby plays in the Heinecken Cup, or if Grangetown Harlequins play in Europe. Yes I want them to win as they are Cardiff teams, but thats it. Months ago, b4 the rebrand, I lived Cardiff City 24/7. As many know, I even moved to Cardiff a few years back because of the club so I could watch the mighty Bluebirds more often home and away. Watched the youth teams play, reserve games, Welsh Cup or preseason games... everything Cardiff City. Moved back to Germany because of my job and to be closer to my family again, but every Euro saved here went into my trips to South Wales...

Its all gone now, this rebrand is totally unacceptable to me. I have been back to Cardiff, watched us play with that shite on a red shirt and tbh it hurts me deeply. Seriously tried to take it on board, but it feels just wrong and I cant lie to myself. Honestly, I had tears in my eyes but I cant continue supporting all this.

Still follow the scores from the distance, but I am not putting any of my money into this club. Last few quid spent were for the last blue bits'n pieces from the clubshop.

If, one day we'll be back in blue, no matter in which league (Premiership or Conference football), I will be back. When all the new "success-orientated" folk are long gone, I will travel on a rainy tuesday night to Torquay or Stockport, as many other loyal City fans do.

Agree on THIS point but there are a fair few (by that I mean a dozen or so) that consistently slate those who have accepted the re-brand (albeit reluctantly in most cases) as being "sell-outs" when the REAL issue are the very survival of the club in recent times and the realisation that there wasn't much any of us paupers (in relation to Tan's world) could do to stop him

It's called 'understanding' and the ONLY time anyone (for or against) can call anyone a "sell-out" is when they STOP turning up to watch the team for such a flimsy reason

That is, of course, only MY opinion ;) :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Jinks I do agree....

To the the people who disagree, let me paint a small picture. If and when this current CCFC team and its management team, secure top flight football for the first time in over 50 years. Will you be having a few beers to celebrate??? will you be excited when the new fixtures come out, who we playing first?? will you be wearing your City shirt on your holidays.... giving it large in benidorm??

Come on lads, red blue or pink, lets get united behind CCFC and really start to enjoy the good times that are staring us in the face.

I'm not going to dictate, I'm not going to bully anyone, lets just get behind the club we all love.

Please!!! :malky: :malky:

That why I understand Jinks gets his hair off.

All well and good calling fans who wish to go along with the rebrand sell outs and almost spit on them in the streets, but we all support the same club.

Id love the fans who will refuse the scarf tonight, What will you think of the fans who will wear the scarf with pride??? what happens if its a family member?? people are forgetting the true reason, a simple competition to win a season ticket. Bearing in mind there are many single mothers and fathers whom would love a season ticket under the current climate to aid there families.

At least for now we just have to support the current management team and the team to make sure everyone is positive until we reach promotion.

We can then all sit down in the summer and tweak the re-brand designs to suit all parties.

A renewal is nothing other than a support for Tan and the red, you cannot say otherwise as its bullshit. Sorry but if you hate it don't renew.

You honestly think Tan knows that there has been a petition and a protest? I don't. All he will see is strong red shirt sales, a red stadium last night and thousands of renewals. If thats not support for red then what is?

If you have renewed you cannot complain anymore, FACT.

I have simply put he club and it's future before my personal needs and preferences, if that is selling out then so be it, in my eyes it's showing some loyalty as the word support implies, you got to be there good and bad, thick and thin, putting your own choices ahead of the club his selfish and a sell out in my eyes.

The sell outs as most see it are the ones who haven't the balls or principles to back up their big brave words and do something positive other than not buy programmes, people like you say they hate it, yet support it, and that ain't being a sell out
