Swansea have rested 9 players. They have striker that has scored 0 goals a completely new back 5, and the only regulars in the midfield 5 are Britton and Pablo and de Guzman.

No Williams, Chico, Rangel, Tremmel, Ki, Dyer, Routledge, Michu.

thats 8 players st lemon and you said tremmel wont start do you want another go.

Where did I say Tremmel wouldn't start? Tremmel is first choice.

I thought 0-0 but as the jacks have rested half the team and liverpools line up looks particularly strong I think it will be a 2-0 defeat.

Ahem....

But they're not all going to get injured at the same time are they Mellon. And they would appeal any suspensions of course so they wouldn't start until after the final.

What a sad and embarassing day for the tens of jacks who made the trip to Anfield.

Not sure what you mean by they aren't all going to get injured the same time?

If they played 5 first teamers and an outfield player got Injured then its a 50% chance it's an important player. If there are 2 first teamers and someone gets injured there is a 20% chance it will be an important player and so on....

A bit like this

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20877003

Alright, let me explain: all five of these alleged stars wouldn't have all got injured in today's game, should they have played.

You would think the jacks could absorb one injury for a game a week later against the likes of Bradford, although going on today's performance that is probably unlikely with their admittedly terrible strength in depth.

As a fan of all the Welsh teams, you must be salivating at the prospect of a team from the capital with real money to spend gracing the top league in the land. Then you won't have to worry about any lack of strength in depth embarassing the nation.

Resting players against a prem side for a game a week away against a mid table league 2 side seems ridiculous to me. Got what they deserved.

I don't see how anyone can see that as ridiculous.

In the league the biggest realistic prize on offer is the Europa league. Swansea can secure that in one match next Sunday against league 2 opposition. Why would they concentrate on the harder most unlikely route that consists of 11 matches against premier league opposition.

If they can win next week they are as good as finished 5th in the Prem.

I've heard Laudrup is keeping Michu and the rest out of training for the whole of the next week.

...You know, just in case.

And after all, it is Bradford.

It's not an excuse it's an observation that anyone can see.

Macclesfield beating Cardiff this year was another example of this.

Agreed. There's rumours of Aspas signing so him and Michu up front should be a great partnership.
