Something you didnt get near winning despite spending so much time down there. tens of thousands of jacks walking around your city was a sight to behold as was the trip to the old wembley. We had the big crowds v the likes of Barnet, Shrewsbury and Burnley. You definitely have a chip on both shoulders. Keep them coming.

I was around back in the day when that chant went up. I can't remember actually joining in with it but it's possible that I did. I don't remember being shocked at it either if I'm being honest. However I do know that years later, it haunted me and I still find it hard to believe what 'fans' will chant in the heat of the moment. I actually thought about it some time back and wondered if I'd imagined it but obviously not. Lads at football don't really think about what they are calling out at the time and I don't believe that most of our boys would have really thought about what a terrible thing it was they were doing. We've all done stupid things and some of us will again. I don't think it would happen now if something like that happened. Of course, some idiots will always try and get under the skin of opposing fans in any way they can, be it through something like this or racist chants, but I think we all know it's never really personal. Just football banter. I've been abusive to players in the past and never really thought about the player but just the club he represented. Anyway, I for one am sorry for what happened on that day and the games that followed. Water under the bridge now we're all older and a bit wiser. Bristol City for me, through the 70's and 80's we hardly played the gypos, it was always bristol city, infact, we used to play bristol rovers more than the jacks then.

Fair play its the same for us the rovers are not our rivals anymore, how can they be we haven't played em for years ,it's like our young lads think your our biggest rivals cause they've never seen those pokey rovers c***s play

Bristol City may have been our main rivals decades ago, but we're in 2013 now. It's hardly a 'derby', there's no tension or hatred like there is with us and the Jacks. We lost to Bristol City 4-2 at the beginning of the season, I was disappointed about that game just like was against any other team we've lost to. If we lost 4-2 to the Jacks, I'd be gutted for months and months until we played them again. I dislike Bristol City, but I don't hate them, in fact I don't give a shit about them.

Looking forward to Saturday though, hopefully this 'derby' will have a decent atmosphere.
