Your arrogant attitude is why you are hated. Outdone us since 1980? Since 1983 you have finished above us no more than 6 or 7 times and have only been a league above us for 3 or 4 seasons. When your bubble finally bursts I'm looking forward to seeing you with crowds of 5k again.

Wrong on so many points. Suggest you go check your facts as like I said if it wasnt for sams money the 30 odd years since I saw my first game as a nipper in 79-80 would have been even more dominated by us. You seem to forget the late 80s to late 90s when we ALWAYS finished above you. Add in the arrogance of the sam years the ullshite comments about us support you lot as the ONLY way to get PL football :laughing5: and the constant media attention and bigger than barca crap is it any wonder we have enjoyed and made the most of our last 3 glorious seasons? You last comment sums it up though you lot seem to have forgotten how bad your crowds used to be pre fa cup and pre sam. It seems if our crowds are now plastics but the rise from your 5k crowds has been done by true life long fans.

2011 was 1st season you had finished above us since 2001. Prior to that 1997 you were above us and from 93-95 you were ahead. 6 seasons ahead in last 20 years. Your greatest success has been the auto windscreens trophy

You talking about Sams money putting us ahead. It helped. However you know that swansea would not be in the prem league had you not shafted creditors but don't let that get in the way of your inferiority complex.

Regarding crowds-until early 70s we had great crowds ranging from 20-50k average. The 70s saw a decline across the whole country in crowds due to hooliganism and football being unfashionable. Apart from when you lot were in div 1 CCFC crowds and jack crowds in the 80s were both crap. Early 90s Rick Wright comes along and our crowds hit 16-20000 for big games something that you lot have only had in last 3 seasons.

Pre FA Cup final we averaged between 12 and 15000 since the early part of the 00 decade.

For me Swansea my dislike for them rocketed when they ripped seats up in the Grandstand around 93 hope they lose every game. As for Bristol fantastic rivalry given the Welsh/English slant on it !!!! so lets hope we stuff the wurzzles on Saturday :ayatollah:

Brilliantly done. Selective stats at their best 16 to 20 thousand under wright what for a cup game against man city? Like we did against Liverpool. Your first 3 years in the championship were similar to ours for crowds the fa cup final made the difference. But to be honest I couldnt give a feck about crowds. its totally irellevant to me.
Brilliant the way you come up with those figures. I saw my first game in 1979/80 from that season on we have finished above you 19 out of 34 seasons. FACT. Please dont compare the pittance we owed creditors (vast amount was to Mel nurse) to what you have done. If other clubs were losing the money you were they may also have spent 10 years in the second tier and gained some losers medals.
As for the football league trophies I wouldnt swap them for the world. As a lower league club it was a great achievment. Something you didnt get near winning despite spending so much time down there. tens of thousands of jacks walking around your city was a sight to behold as was the trip to the old wembley. Did you ever go there to watch your team lift a trophy?
next year will be our 5th season in the top flight, I have seen us beat every team in the league (everton aprt) Ive seen us top the top flight, win at wembley twice, win at the Mill stad, emirates, anfield and hopefuly in 11 days time I will see us lift a major trophy.
You on the other hand have seen black and white film of a cup win, seen 3 loses at wembley and never seen your team play a top flight game. (unless you collect a pension)
To suggest you have dominated us over the past 20 or 30 years is laughable. Oh sorry I forgot you beat leeds. But then again we became the first club in PL era to beat a PL club whilst in the bottom tier and then went on to become the first club to beat a PL club whilst being in the third then second tiers.

I was around back in the day when that chant went up. I can't remember actually joining in with it but it's possible that I did. I don't remember being shocked at it either if I'm being honest. However I do know that years later, it haunted me and I still find it hard to believe what 'fans' will chant in the heat of the moment. I actually thought about it some time back and wondered if I'd imagined it but obviously not. Lads at football don't really think about what they are calling out at the time and I don't believe that most of our boys would have really thought about what a terrible thing it was they were doing. We've all done stupid things and some of us will again. I don't think it would happen now if something like that happened. Of course, some idiots will always try and get under the skin of opposing fans in any way they can, be it through something like this or racist chants, but I think we all know it's never really personal. Just football banter. I've been abusive to players in the past and never really thought about the player but just the club he represented. Anyway, I for one am sorry for what happened on that day and the games that followed. Water under the bridge now we're all older and a bit wiser. By the way, we're still gonna f**k you all up on Saturday, if me knees hold out for the day!! Stay safe all the lads, and stand your ground against the Welsh hoards!! :old:

Anyone who thinks Bristol City are bigger rivals to us than Swansea are lying.

Bristol City may have been our main rivals decades ago, but we're in 2013 now. It's hardly a 'derby', there's no tension or hatred like there is with us and the Jacks. We lost to Bristol City 4-2 at the beginning of the season, I was disappointed about that game just like was against any other team we've lost to. If we lost 4-2 to the Jacks, I'd be gutted for months and months until we played them again. I dislike Bristol City, but I don't hate them, in fact I don't give a shit about them.

Looking forward to Saturday though, hopefully this 'derby' will have a decent atmosphere.
