Some of you guys have jumped the gun here.

This leaflet refers to EEA residents of which all of us come under. It is nothing to do with those from Afghan, Somalia, Iraq, Iran etc etc.

These are EEA residents who have in sometime in their life have paid UK NI contributions or paid into a EEA NI that has a special arrangement with the UK. These guys are entitled to benefits just like anyone else on here who could end up working in another EEA country besides the UK.

Adding to that the leaflet also mentions that asylum seekers are highly unlikely to get housing benefit. It is far from the case that if one turns up here they automatically get a house as some are applying on here.

Sadly some on here have judged the leaflet by what they see in that picture.

the picture has been doing the rounds on facebook the last couple of weeks with very leading and incorrect captions, so its not surprising its turned up on here.

'Come to Britain and better your life' would have been more appropriate.

I can assure you now if I was an immigrant and saw that leaflet I'd be in the back of a French truck before Cardiff got promoted.

I dont normally agree with you but your bang on.

The do-gooders are idiots.

Why do they think all these Iraqis, Afghans, Iranians, Somalians, Albanians etc etc etc
are all clambering across every country in Europe to get here? Do we have the best pay
for Car Washes?

"Come to Britain Abdul, they will give you a house for nothing"

"Oh do f**k off"

"No, im serious, they do, and a car if you walk with a limp"

"really? How do i get in?"

"When you get to Heathrow, or customs, tell them you fear for your own life
and have a criminal gang after you"

"Your winding me up now you ball-bag!"

"NO (through tears of laughter)... it really really works, and if you get on AAMB, there
are a few donuts who will even put you up til you get the house. Just tell them you have been looked at in
a funny way by a white person"

If you're referring to asylum seekers, then the fact of the matter is the majority do not recieve benefits. In fact, most live in squalor and poverty.

•Most asylum seekers are living in poverty and experience poor health and hunger. Many families are not able to pay for the basics such as clothing, powdered milk and nappies.
(The Children's Society Briefing highlighting the gap between asylum support and mainstream benefits, 2012 Independent Asylum Commission citizens’ inquiry in The Independent, 2007)

•Almost all asylum seekers are not allowed to work and are forced to rely on state support – this can be as little as £5 a day to live on.

Asylum seekers do not jump the queue for council housing and they cannot choose where they live. The accommodation allocated to them is not paid for by the local council. It is nearly always ‘hard to let’ properties, where other people do not want to live.

•Asylum Seekers do not receive more benefits than pensioners in UK (UK Parliament briefing paper, 2012)

Still think its worded very badly to be honest.

Whats wrong with 'Financial aid for Europeans in the UK' ?

Nothing at all. They purposely put BENEFITS on it to drive home the fact they'll get help for nothing and make it sound appealing. All a ploy. We weren't born yesterday and know fully well how these advertising/marketing channels work.
