Our true amazing moments in history are winning the FA Cup in 1927 vs Arsenal and beating Real Madrid. Those are the only two glorious moments we had in 100 years of blue. Yes we got to finals, been to Wembley plenty of times but no one remembers the losers and that is a fact.

In blue we had 2 glorious moments which on paper we still have, just check our historic results. Most of our time in blue was bad. We had hooliganism run through the core of the club and build us up a terrible reputation. Ask many mothers a few years ago before we became family club of the year of their perception of the club and they'll tell you 'hooligans'.

In red we have a chance to behave and prove ourselves as a new, fresh, reformed club that parents want to take their kids to see. Mothers turning up to take their sons etc. They may sit in the family stand but they're still paying to get in through the gate and the more the merrier.

Another fact is rival teams only remember the bad things other clubs do. When we beat Palace the other day we got called divers, time wasters and cheats. Thats because rival fans will always have a distorted view of your club. They will remember us for hooliganism and bottling it, not winning the FA Cup or beating Madrid. That is something only us bluebirds hold close to our hearts because we have an affinity with the club that can't be matched. Thats why we follow the bluebirds, the bond runs deep.

People read and see this and it changes some of their views of us.

Grow up and welcome to modern football. Modern football is about money. money comes from getting people through the gates. If the CCS is safe and has a good image and the club has a new image then kids will want the latest merchandise and will go as already proven.

People judge a book by its cover. Cardiff were blue when we were going through hooliganism. Those images stick for a lot of people. I know parents who stopped their kids going over the flare in the grange end vs Spurs when it all kicked off.Those were parents SAT IN THE GRANDSTAND. Fans lost because of bad behavior, FACT. Hooliganism was a form of self harm for the club and anyone denying that is deluded. Whilst many loved it it held the club back in other aspects.

I can see where your coming from and I welcome all new supporters and the new brand tan is creating for cardiff city , but we can't just accept and give up surrendering to "modern football", we are cardiff city known for passionate fans and good atmosphere so we gotta keep trying for that and a bit of intimidation passionate atmosphere inside the ground is fine so the people that don't like that side of our support should just learn to accept it like you say fans should just learn to accept modern football

The simple fact is we love our club and a colour is not going to break our love for the club. You loved your club because of the colour and tradition, not for what it is.

It is much more than colour or tradition. It is a club that is based in the community, does loads for the local people, its a place that brings people together as one every match day, keeps relationships going, a place to meet great people who share a common interest, its a place where kids can go to stay off the streets and do something they enjoy instead, its a place where families can now go and watch a football match without having to fear for their safety, its a place where players put on the shirt and want to play for the club week in week out because they are proud to do so, etc.

Its all about changing the clubs image which Tan is doing. Thats the business sense behind it. Its okay for clubs like Chelsea in the heart of London to still act like complete morons because they have the population there to fill their stadium week in, week out.
