I agree with you mate. The rebrand is great for the youngsters of this club and they're the ones that matter. We've had plenty of time supporting City ourselves and as long as the youngsters are happy with a red Cardiff City thats all that matters. Its a new chapter in the clubs story.

why is the rebrand 'great'for the youngsters..? surely if we kept blue then Craigs daughters would want the blue home top.

New image, something different, refreshed brand, people like newer stuff, just like fashion really, etc. a lot of people like the latest thing that is in. A new image also gives them a chance to get involved and then 40 years down the line they can say they started supporting the club since the new badge and that will be the marker for the start of their affiliation of the club. Harder for us older lot to understand and must be harder again for those older than me because we've become so used to blue but i've just stayed open minded on it and thought 'what would i like if i was a kid?' new toys at christmas etc, kids want the newest things dont they so easy to understand why they'd want the new red shirt. The amount of red shirts I've seen near where I live in Cardiff and even up here and in West Wales is ridiculous. I never thought it'd sell so well but it has because people want something different.

Dont read too much into it, they would have asked for the blue one if that was there. I was just saying i hate the rebrand but just because ive bought the red top for my kids as they asked for it doesnt make me a sellout as their happiness means more than the rebrand

Periodically,I leave the messageboards well alone and i genuinely hope that your tipping point over the club name is not reached. If I could live with the colour change I would. I just happen to strongly believe that traditional colours matter an awful lot in football. I can't simply change that long held view.

As for trying to wind people up that is certainly not the case.I enjoy the debate but inevitably with something as emotive as the rebrand, periodically things get a little heated. :ayatollah:

Fair enough. As said in the post above maybe harder for me to understand because im younger, a next generation down. I just thought it was a bit annoying that i went on CCMB and you have a plonker on new years day of all days when we should be celebrating going into the new year top of the league on the message board on a wind up - not you, doverblue. I don't think its fair to call us Tan apologists either. We are all just trying to make the best out of a bad situation and I can see some reasons why Tan has done it in terms of image. That is unfortunately the way the club is going and many other clubs will also.

If the name changes or the club relocates which I can't see happening then im through with the club and will most likely support a Welsh league team and support some of our Welsh players. To me, the name changing will be the death of Cardiff City FC and that will be a very, very sad day if it happens.

The colours dont matter so much to me but the relocation would because the one of the things most important to me about a club is its ties with the local community. So far in that respect Tan and the rest of staff have been brilliant. In my opinion the club has a purpose to represent (through name) and serve the local community (through location and actions) and as long as it carries out those duties I'll be happy whatever the colour.

My nephew has the blue one from 08. Didn't bother with a new one every Christmas. 'Why bother? I'll just wear the blue one i've got'. This year he has had the red one for Christmas because its different, its new and its not the blue one he had before. Each to their own. I've got the red one myself because if we do ever go back to blue I want to look back in 50 years when im having a pint and go 'God, remember when we wore red?'. I just see it as part of our ever continuing roller coaster :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Im of the same view as many and annis, ideally we would like the city to resort back to Blue, however at this time its not possibleas those investing in the club are insisting on Red, however I belive there is room for discussion in the future. We are clearly benefiting from the investment from the owners and this should be welcomed .

Ile support the city as long as they remain the Bluebirds and CCFC and lets give credit to the CCFC player and Malky who are working hard to allow the club to progress and with some luck this season and continued effort WE WILL GAIN PROMOTION IN MY VIEW .

Keep Faith and Support The city

I don't see why people who are still supporting the club, like myself, are called sell outs :?

To me, the definiton of a 'sell out' is someone who would've accepted the rebrand in return for Premier League football.
