Brazil need to take Casemiro off or they've got no chance of getting back into this game.

Looks completely out of his depth.

Can't see Japan holding out for the next 45 minutes, they will need another just to take the pressure off but they seem to want to walk the ball into the net if they get forward in numbers rather than take a risk & shoot.

And there it is.

Looks like Brazil have won it in the last minute with a Gabriel Martinelli goal.

Disappointed with that result but Japan keep faffing around outside the box & trying to walk the ball into the net.

Germany are out of the World Cup.

Paraguay beat them 4-3 on penalties to progress to the Last 16.

First time Germany have ever post a penalty shootout at the World Cup.

Morocco's win over Netherlands on penalties means that their match against Canada is the confirmed Last 16 tie.

Some decent looking games today:

Ivory Coast v Norway (6pm)

France v Sweden (10pm)

Mexico v Ecuador (2am)

Japan and Germany knocked out in same year, that hasn’t happened since 1945.

Both lost then and lost now! Germans very unhappy at disallowed goal (got a point) but that's what happens when players fall over easily at some point you'll suffer carma.

First game today should be a good one with only 2 places between them in the world rankings with Norway being 31st.

2 fantastic individual goals so far in this game could mean a great finish is in store.

He almost blew it there, just as well it was wide open. 60 goals in 53 internationals is ridiculous.
