hi my name is paul and I have followed the city since the 60s. As a lad my first visit to ninian park was 1963 - 1964 season and their were two players I was fortunate to see play that day was John Charles (gentle giant) and Derek Tapscott (barry boy).
Have some great memories of some fantastic players over the years, but I always loved to see our own youngsters coming through. One of my favourite player to come through was Phil Dwyer, I remember his first game as right back with Don Murray bollocking him every 5 minutes lol. This club should have been in the top flight years ago. this is our year no more excuses, we are going up as champions.

Sometimes those of us who are far away can see things for what they are through a less emotional mist. Dave Jones is not perfect, nor would he claim to be but consider the following. He has for five years managed a club bereft of money, stuck with High Court judgements and spending more money on lawyers and accountants than on footballers, all the while, until lately with extremely shadowy management. A club that has sold its best players while "buying" or loaning players for little or no money. He has at the same time spotted enough talent to made an enormous profit for the club in the transfer market without which there would be no Cardiff City and you would all be Jack's supporters by now. Portsmouth and the rest bought and bought and lost fortunes on the transfer market. We failed by goal difference to reach the play off's two years ago, got to a Cup Final, Failed in a Wembley play-off last year and this through some sort of miracle after selling our best defender since Don Murray and Danny Malloy, the fantastic Roger Johnson, we have a squad that is again challenging for promotion. Sometimes the negativity that abounds in Wales is hard to take. Get a hero and as soon as possible tear them down should be the motto of the place. With the right support, energy and enthusiasm we can will the team to promotion this year. I do my damdest from seven thousand miles away to channel all I can with bits of sponsorship, advice and love. I have to wait until the game against Derby for my next home match and pray that we will be fighting for direct promotion this year.
All the best to the Bluebirds

First game: Blackpool home 1968, lost 3-1, travelled down from Brecon with my dad. Still remember Delilah being played.
Missed most of late 70s and early 80s playing in goal for Rumney Rangers and AFC Cardiff, many times against Chris Pike, who is now one of my community cricket coaches.
Favourite players: Ron Healey, Billy Ronson, Robin Friday and Brian Clark, who I was with at AFC Cardiff, a true pro and gentleman.
Favourite game/s: I loved the Wrexham/Everton FA Cup run 76/7 John Buchanan's late winner and Tony Evans putting us in front v Everton.Great atmospheres.
Worst game/s: Stoke home play offs and Blackpool at Wembley, still can't understand why we bottled it.
General Interest: In recent years I designed and printed the season ticket flyer where every City supporter was regarded as the 12th man and had their own name on the back of the shirt, in some cases, their picture and the area of the ground where they were. I met up with Julian Jenkins,Peter Ridsdale and Sam Hamamm who liked my idea and I was very pleased when City won Four Four Two magazine " Best Use of New Media" that year.
Hoping that 2011 is our year and that all the die hard fans I know get what I and we, have dreamt of
Currently in Ninian 116 Front Row.
