Struggling to get 1000 signatures after a month with all the multiple voters.....I'd say this one is dead in the water lads.

With ALL the multiple voters? You make it sound like its full of them.

Actually, I think 1,000 off MBs and twitter alone is a good start - if it gets reported on and put out there for the wider community, that's when it will soar.

As I have already stated, Media Wales have said it needs to hit 1,000 before they can take it seriously and look at covering it, so when we reach that level, it could then get to the wider audience.

More I think about it Craig, I'm inclined to agree with you - I can't stop other posters going to other forums, however.

Before the petition is finalised, all the votes will be scanned to ensure any duplicate votes are erased. That was stated earlier, if you took the time to read it.

With I believe over 250,000 registered individuals on the club's data base, how many signatures do you think it would need for anyone to take notice of a petition, in fact if the numbers are that small it is more likely the figures are turned around to show how small a percentage are that bothered.

Now if the petition as it has been opened out to the world, then I think if anything it waters it down somewhat. It would definitely carry more clout in my opinion if it was a recorded account of either registered City fans or season ticket holders, the percentages would at least appear better even if still minimal.

How many do you think it will take to get VT to make any changes in what his plans are, and do you honestly think even if over half of the registered users signed, that it would force his hand, personally I don't think he's the sort of person that does "backed into corners"he may just well say "f**k you" and push ahead with more changes to impose his power, personally i think we'll get more out of him in compromise and understanding by keeping him on board, but that's just my opinion.

I can imagine his little smirk as he is handed this petition, he will look at it first, inspect a few of the names before crushing it in his hands whilst cackling gleefully.

He wouldn't care if you handed him the entire Census worth of signatures, no, you need to take more direct action Chuckles like BOYCOTTING THE GAMES. Hit him in the pocket. Take a Malaysian flag down and burn it in the Canton. Both suit me as I will be comforted in the knowledge that you won't be in the ground anymore.

no problem at all, I hate the rebrand and will help out in any petition to get our badge and colour back but what I wont do is cause havoc at games via a protest or anything like that as I love watching my club so therefore have reluctantly accepted the change for now. Good luck with the petition.

I respect the time and effort fans have put into this suggestion, however, it is completely pointless. The re-brand is in full swing now and there is no way that Tan will do any sort of u-turn on this. As hard as it is to take we must accept that these changes are here for the forseeable future.

What I believe fans should focus their time, effort and attention on is setting up some sort of campaign to keep the bluebird on our kit and badge as this is much more realistc and achievable.

A lot of fans dont care about the kit and badge change and therefore wont bother signing any petitions or join any campaigns to bring it back. However, the Bluebird is closer to every Cardiff City supporters heart and is therefore likely to attract more attention from fellow supporters.

As I said, not knocking the effort and time put into it as its a good idea. I just dont think it is likely to work.

If you read the full petition you'll see that it incorporates our wishes for the bluebird.

It's been well publicised that Tan is a ruthless operator, but who's to say he won't be willing to listen to the fans?

I disagree. It's not just specific to us. It's specific to every football club, as every football club currently has, or could in the future have a foreign owner. With what's happened to us, every football fan now knows the identity of their club could be under threat with a foreign owner in charge. Other fans supporting our petition knows this and this is why they have signed our petition. This petition is about our club now, but could also easily be about keeping the identity of every other football club in the future. For the sake of football, this petition needs all the support it can get, not just from our club, but also from every football fan from every club.

I would like to say on here a fantastic well done to Chuckles on what he has achieved so far with so many negative views on here. You have put the effort in and you have passed the first major milestone of over one thousand signatures .
Take a bow my Son and now for the next push and take it to the next level.

Over a 1000 signatures now give or take a few repetitions etc. This is a great effort off the back of message board publicity alone. Good luck in trying to get some media backing next. All I want to see is the club valuing its fan base better by listening and consulting properly about the future branding of the club especially as our bluebird symbol seems to be under threat. What would be left if that goes as well?
