Same goes now.

I'm proud of Cardiff City, and won't let the likes of Spartacus and Factgasm put me off, just cos they can't be bothered to stand up for the club.

Tan would not leave if thousands marched, he is here to make money and will leave when he is ready.

It's not a demonstration, they have called it a celebration day.
And no I won't be going on their celebration day.
That does not mean I don't agree with Bluebirds Unite, they stand for a lot of things I believe in.

The best way to show your BLUE in my opinion is to wear BLUE at every game you attend home or away, but still cheer the team on.

Agree , thats what I'll be doing every home game and the away games I can make :ayatollah:

Aggre with you on this one, guys

As well meaning as the original group are, the BU march will take away focus from what is otherwise an historic event for Cardiff City Football Club

If you want to make a visible and obvious statement, just continue to wear blue

That will speak much louder than a march that Vinent Tan will probably not even be aware of and will certainly take no notice of when all is said and done :(

So it will take away focus on the day, but Tan won't notice? I'm confused.

I'll try not to be hard on you, fella, as you obviously missed the whole point

The focus will be taken away because the media will have their usual shit stirring field day, where they report the bits they want and blank the rest. Football will take a back seat in some papers and on some news programees when all should be focusesed on the important matter in hand, i.e. Cardiff City's first game at home in the Premier League (and against Man City on Sky TV's prime slot too)

I suspect, as usual, one or two will derail the day for their own reasons and it will degenerate into some kind of anti-Tan march with agendas other than 'keep cardiff blue'

That would be a huge shame for Cardiff City FC and its long-suffering majority of supporters...and Vincent Tan won't bat an eye-lid

Comprende now?? ;)

sven you are entitled to your opinion like everyone else, but You regulary claim to be voicing the concerns of the majority, which lets you down.

My opinion is that our clubs heritage is more important than one glamour tie, no one will even care about Man city in a year, but the hsitory books will record our fight to retain what is OURS.

Thanks for allowing me my opinion, fella ;)

I don't 'claim' to be "voicing the concerns of the majority" but if it soothes you to think so then so be it. The facts speak for themselves in that the vast majority won't be on your walk, so it is safe to assume...

And what will the histor books say about the man who put everything in place for the club to sort out its historic debt (not accumulated by him remember) and take the club to the Premier League?

Somehow I think you will have an answer for that (one that suits your agenda, of course) but the simple fact is that Tan won't change a thing as a result of your march and it is (IMHO, of course) only likely to feed the media frenzy that will surely be at the CCS during a live Sky Super Sunday game

A club on the verge of being wound up, said owner then ploughs in millions to invest in ground, training ground, squad etc and then in a few years gets us to the premier league.......... yeah you're right you couldn't make it up

Indeed. Just baffles me that some cannot see the futility of it and the potential media frenzy to be generated when nothing will change as a result

Never a better time to simply get behind your club and I just have to question certain agendas

Neither is a lie, it's a simple mistake. As I said, if you're that interested (instead of targeting me for ridicule, like you've done with others who don't agree with you) check for yourself.

Re: ' This bluebirds unite march against Man City '

What's interesting is the split here , I think nearly all want blue back , some want to march no matter when its organised and irrespective of the possible consequences , the rest want some sort of demonstration just think man city live on tv and before our first ever prem game is really bad timing and is just a publicity stunt for b/u

Guess we will see after man city the outcome of this :?

The only appalling thing here is that so many people rolled over due to assumptions of more vocal supporters without using their own mind to think for themselves.

no ! whats appalling is people giving up there identity and tradition just because they are so desperate to see premiership football in Cardiff! your basically giving your soul to the devil for success

Not everybody is the same

Some want premier league football at any cost and do not care
Some are just football fans without a hard passion for the club and just enjoy the football
Some want the club to be financially stable and are willing to sacrifice certain things for a better future
Some hate the rebrand but believe without it the club will die so they bite there tongue
Some don't like it but have been taken along on a wave of success and find themselves coming round to it .
Some don't want to see cardiff return to the doldrums of lower leagues and believe tans vision is the way forward
Some just dont give a f**k either way

The devil ?
If the devil you talk about is tan , the guy who saved this club , the guy who's money got us promoted , the guy who hired one of the best young managers in the country to manage us , the guy who has made this club debt free for the first time in years , the guy who is building us training and academy facilities and also making our stadium bigger ?
One mistake ( according to fans ) / contentious decision and he's the devil

What's appalling is general phrases like "people rolled over" & "giving up their identity".

I think you'll find the vast majority of free thinkers (fans as a whole and not just the small minority that post on MB's) looked at the bigger picture and accepted that the overall package offered at the time was worth the pain of a change in shirt colour.

All that was offered and more has been delivered. People should take their blinkers off.

What is appalling about Cardiff City fans celebrating the clubs identity?

Can you answer please, possibly without sounding like Mary Whitehouse talking about a small flash of flesh on the television.

Really, what is appalling?

Pride in the bluebird. You are opposed to that are you?

I would love to see the blue back but to protest at our 1st ever PL game is not the way to do it.

Unless BU get a really large turnout this could backfire on them :old: :old:

Chuckles must be wanking himself silly, he's embroiled in about 6 arugments in the same thread

What a car crash of a thread, what is wrong with a few people getting together for a march? They should have done it last year but many were too busy feeling sorry for themselves. It will not disrupt the players, the club or Tan it's a harmless protest and many of you have got your knickers in a twist over nothing. A storm in tea cup comes to mind.

I will not be marching as i'll be having a few pints before getting to my seat a little earlier than usual but good luck to those who are.

It's not a celebration it's a protest against Cardiff City and the rebranding on our first game in the premier and the negative publicity it'll bring won't do us any good. The bluebird is on the badge is it not?
