Never slated Rudy, he got a goal today better than what any f**ker done today.

In reality Rudy has a role to play within the squad and that role involves coming on when we are chasing a game, like Ipswich and Charlton away, because his height and physical presence give our opponents different problems to deal with.
Rudy has 3 assists and 1 goal from only 231 minutes on the pitch so he does make a contribution and in my opinion every team needs players like him.
Should he start games, No, but until we get a replacement for Maynard he deserves his place on the bench. The bigger question in my opinion is why Joe Mason did n't get on the pitch today because his record over the last two seasons for accuracy of shooting is unbelieveable. Last season 74% of his shots at goal were on target and this season it is 79%.
Today Helguson missed a couple of absolute sitters and stats tell us Joe Mason would of hit the target
Rather than Mutch I believe Joe Mason should have come on and that's something MM needs to think long and hard about. In his post match interview he talks about not being clinical enough.
Joe Mason is clinical and should have played at least some part today.

It was very disappointing not to see either Joe or Kim today but it just goes to show how good our bench is today. I can understand Mutch being brought on as we were being killed in the centre and also Rudy as we needed to chase the game and with 3 centre backs we needed to win the ball in the air. The problem really was the staring line up was all wrong which left us with few options as to who could be brought off the bench. I would start Mutch or Gunnar any day before Cowie and also Kim ahead of Conway

Exactly..
He was brought on to do something diferent and he did by winning headers and he put a lovely header across goal but nobody there.
Oh and he scored a goal

We're most of you watching the same game as me?
On another day we would have battered them.
Did the keeper play a blinder? Hell no. We missed almost every chance we had.
I am perhaps Gersede's biggest critics, but he I did a difference today.
What we needed was a finisher, but even though Malky has tracked him for more than two years before buying him, he is apparently not strong enough. Not my words, Malikes on Wednesday just gone.
This is the kick up the arse we need.
Come on Malky. Let's see some balls and go and win this league.

How?
Because hes a spaz people make allowances for him
I'm a big critic of Rudy, but he did well today.
Also, calling people a "spaz"... How old are you? Grow up!

I am not a fan of the long ball game we play when Rudy comes on but today I believe it was the right tactic to by pass their midfield as they had a strangle hold on us in this area all day. We were unable to play it through them with Whitts and Cowie outplayed.

Quote from one bloke sat behind me when Rudy went up for a header.
"He's like a spastic giraffe"
