Certainly in older people it is falling (as older people who were fluent in it die).
But in younger people it is growing. I've read one statistic from the census that 30% of welsh speakers are now under 16. Which means teaching it in schools and to young people is working. These young people will grow older, have kids and they will also probably learn Welsh. I'd say the language is in quite a good position as long as grumps like Angry Man are ignored.

Narrow minded souls like you are always looking to blame someone for something, in this case England taking over Wales. We run ourselves for the most part and if we did fully without out the help of England we would be fucked. now i am not anti Welsh in any way other than the language and dicks like you who try and say that people who are against it are this and that. well thats your opinion pal so do one

Now we have the benefit of English speaking from birth then other languages which billions of people speak are Chinese, Russian and Spanish so surely children in Wales would benefit more speaking these languages rather than Welsh which a few thousand uses at best.

What the f**k are you waffling on about now? There is no such thing as a 'mountainous tribe'
Perhaps you mean a 'tribe that lives in a mountainous region' ... what percentage of this country
live in the mountainous areas and speak their native tongue? Welsh as a language is spoken by
over a quarter of the population.
You mention Education. All English kids are taught English history. Welsh kids are taught more
about English history than they are Welsh.
But the language of Wales is inextricably linked to the history and the culture, its what defines
Wales as a separate entity to England. Without it, Wales would not be Wales today. If you think
otherwise, its only because you know NOTHING of Welsh history. Now thats fine. Dont learn it.
Forget Wales' history. I couldnt give a f**k.
Thats where we differ. I really dont care a flying f**k if people speak Welsh or not, as long as
they love the country and the history, and the culture then they are every bit as Welsh as the
next man.
But if your not proud of Wales' history and culture. Then how can you be a proud Welshman?
And to take it one step further and actually slag off the language?
Well Im hardly surprised really.
You spend half your life slagging Cardiff City off, why should your country get off scot free
