Now that Borley has said that it must be true

carl
i think you will find that because jones was on a years rolling contract the club gave him that years notice and was paying him his wage monthly as usual. therefore in the clubs opinion he left to join wednesday severing his contract with cardiff prior to the end of his 12 months
personally i hope mandaric sacked him before he got to newport so he had a shit journey home

As you say Steve "the clubs opinion" by that you mean the Malaysians opinion of course!

He still got a place near the Vale hasn't he, if he went there then the traffic was awful on the A4232

of course the malaysians opinion carl how dare you even contemplate the idea that anyone else down the club is allowed one

I don't feel sorry for him but don't forget he worked for the Malaysians after Ridsdale so they should have sorted any issues they had with his contract when they took over.

I agree but Jones decided to get this out into the public domain, but then goes on to say it's a private issue. Surely if it's a private matter, he shouldn't have revealed anything? Comedy gold from Jones and his ramblings to be fair.

He's just a bitter, ignorent buffoon. I wonder what he thinks of the Sheffield Wednesday fans in "that part of the world" giving the same opinion of him as fans in "our part of the world". But of course, not even Mourinho could do the job he's doing, ripping apart a promotion winning team and bringing in his own players to give their fans their 6th loss in a row today.

He does need to be paid if he is owed.

There was no need for him to bring it up post match though. Unprofessional.

Re: Bitter Jones at it again

I have to admit that I feel the same way towards DJ as he feels towards our club.

He's part of our history. He's yesterday's man. Couldn't care less what happens to him or whatever club he manages in the future.

We were just a job to Dave Jones. He was just a manager to me.

Not surprised that he's still trying to get money out of the club. Don't expect him to show loyalty to anyone but himself and his family.

Today's lack of any type of acknowledgement for him reflects the indifference most would appear to feel.

Carl are you suggestions that DJ should continued to be paid by CCFC (up until his 12 months is finished) even though he was SW manager?
Would seem a little odd to me.

I disagree. We'd already be in the Premiership if he went into more games to win but like today with SWFC he went into games for draws. Malky is different, he keeps the players hungry for every game and they keep pushing on to win.

Malky has a better team yes but that means bugger all. Bolton and other teams have very strong sides yet are not anywhere near where people expect them to be.

I would say MM goes into games more defensive than DJ ever did.

When DJ took over we were looking to stay up.

F##k Dave Jones. He talks about the club showing him more respect, but shows none himself. When he he off the coach today loads of fans clapped him, but he just walked in the ground. Didn't acknowledge the fans in anyway. Nob

People "in the know" should be aware that there was an interlocutory court case in the early summer.

The Court found in Cardiff City's favour which, at least, shows there is a valid defence.

The main case has not yet gone to court. so please don't try and say the club owes DJ money and should honour it.

There is a dispute and it centres around the nature and timing of his move to Sheff Wed. DJ may feel hard done by but the court may well find that he/his advisors made an error and, as a result, he may have done himself out of some significant money.

I'm getting sick of Dave Jones and his interviews, not to mention his team selections and tactics!

He comes across as rather arrogant and unwilling to accept responsibility, I bet he's a nice man but he does himself no favours in the way he conducts himself in interviews

Carl and Annis

One question:

What do you have against Steve Borley.. Was he not a friend of yours Annis?

I respect Borley, always talks to us fans on serious matters in social media.

If he's that bad, then why have Tan and TG not forced him out?

Re: Bitter Jones at it again

Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones told BBC Radio Wales: "That's happened to us too many times this season where they've worked hard, but [it's] that lapse of concentration at certain times of the game.

"We knew what they were going to do, they were going to pummel our box and look for knock-downs and the only time that we've switched off probably in the whole of the game, they've laid it off and we didn't get out quick enough to block it.

"I think they need a little bit of luck, but you've got to earn that. I think today they were doing that for 80 minutes or whatever it was and then they've scored. It's just that one lapse."

2blue is right Malky is much more defensive than DJ was. I cant call Malky a better manager than Jones untill he gets us promoted. Afterall Dave Jones got us 90 minutes away from the premier league

Re: Bitter Jones at it again

Jones failed to acknowledge his own players and sheff weds always impressive away support,i saw him shake hands with one city player,i think it was hudson
I didnt boo him or join in with the "sacked in the morning" chants out of respect for what he did for us as a manager but can totally see why any football fan would have a problem with him-stinking attitude
