Gav,

Some forums I have moderated on they have had settings are there to put off the trolls. One setting was a new user could not start a thread until they had posted 5 times. Another setting was a new user had their first thread checked by a moderator before it was published. I dont know if you can do these 2 things on here but they do work.

ian,i can only speak for myself but i don,t see why a newcomer would want to start a thread.surely the idea is to grow into the forum .of course if say a newcomer posts a thread bringing to our attention a charity event or something similar then fair enough.i have no idea if all these people are fake though i will stick my neck out and say i think barry isn,t a fake.there are also a few new ccfc who ought to go a bit easier on the accelerater as well

Hence why first threads should be moderated. in this case a charity new user would pass the moderation but a troll would not.

cannot see why anyone would object to this

Spends what you class as a troll, people like roath etc aren't stupid, so would easily get around it.

Would stop spam though.

So just that we are all aware....

What is it exactly do you feel these posters are doing to bring such offence? It's easy to spit the word "troll" but I'd happily say there is not one troll on here. I've not seen a thread created with an outrageous untrue content to provoke people into a negative emotional reaction.

All i see is opinions regarding football which more often than not is backed up with evidence or decent thought, that they have every right to express.

Is this really what everyone is offended by?

Me.

Do you have an answer to my question then? Or shall we go around kicking up a fuss every time someone has a differing opinion calling them trolls and lobbying for them to be banned? I'm happy either way I just wanted clarification as everyone seems to have turned into whining school girls on here.

But I could easily say the same about you - unless I could prove it by showing proof of such then it would mean nothing. Just like your last post.

So any answer to the question?

 so you want me answer questions that don't exist and then want me banned because im unable to do the impossible?

If someone read through this thread and had to pick someone out to be a troll, it certainly wouldn't be me. It would probably be the person acting as described in paragraph 1. I'm being perfectly friendly and rational.

I'm glad that anyone reading this also now realises that when challenged, the people crying "troll" often fold when asked to explain themselves. They simply disagree or don't want to hear another opinion and feel they don't have the intelligence of post to be able to debate properly so they call for bannings.

We have our answer.

Bored by me asking what is making them so angry? :?

Well then surely just answer the question or put me on ignore, either one is far more effective than post after post of nothingness. Sort of counter productive dont you think?

Everyone has the power to ignore whoever they wish via the ignore function. If they don't want to take that step to eradicate their issue and won't explain their issue when confronted then I suggest it's not really an issue at all, a drama queen perhaps?

Fake what anyway? I don't understand the accusation let alone the reasoning behind it.

Me and chuckle don't see eye to eye but I'd never call for him to be banned. If I disagree with him then I will formulate my opposite opinion into word form and post it - simple as that. It's how the forum is supposed to work.

People who abuse others or call troll are often trying to mask their own issues that they have so feel the need to belittle others to make themselves feel good. Thats why when I get abuse I just laugh it off and continue the troll because I am loving life and I know deep down they're emotionally broken. :D :D :D

Fully agree. The sooner people realise that the forum is for people to express differing opinion the better.

It's a little pathetic at the moment with people crying as soon as someone has an opinion that they don't like and cannot combat.

Good post.
