Pride/Passion/Backs to the walls/our team ravajed with injuries/a Ref giving us nothing and our 9th WIN IN A ROW AT HOME, thats what 21,500 fans saw today, how can anyone slate or have a go at Malky's teams or Malky as our manager?

Today even if you hated the Red/The Badge etc or were a Neutral, you saw one hell of a battle out there by Malky's Cardiff City team.

I salute you Malky and your team made history today, thats right I will say it again 9 HOME WINS IN A ROW, THE BEST IN EUROPE :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I could even finally feel some passion from our fans today for the first time at a home game this season.
The most disappointing part of the day was to me other than our injuries, was that only 21,500 bothered turning up to see a near top of the table game and Cardiff with the best home record in football, when are the crowds going to turn up?

Totally agree Annis, team have been superb at home and I find it amazing some of our fans can't be arsed to turn up!!! Ninian stand looked and sounded good from the canton today too :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Just got back :D Cracking days like today make the 4 hour journey from East London well worth it. All the players bar none played their socks off, thought that Kim showed signs that he is going to be a superstar for us. The atmosphere was excellent second half too, also first time I have seen the corner of the canton and Ninian full. :ayatollah:

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay praised the desire in his side following their hard-fought 1-0 npower Championship victory over promotion rivals Middlesbrough.

Matt Connolly's 19th-minute header was the match winner as the Bluebirds equalled a club record with a ninth successive home win at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Welsh club were forced to overcome injuries to defenders Ben Turner and Andrew Taylor, before holding on for a precious three points which lifts them above Tony Mowbray's men into second spot in the table.

Mackay said: "I'm delighted with the character of the team and the fact we kept another clean sheet at home. But that is no surprise to me because I see that from the players every day.

"It became tougher when we lost two players after 20 minutes. We had to put young players in and they did brilliantly well.

"To show that resilience against a good team showed the commitment to the cause and that there are no egos at this club."

I think when the Club develops a marketing strategy to entice floating fans. Four Wembley appearances and annual flirtations with the play-offs have so far provided the substance for decent attendances in this league but we are in the middle of some very harsh economic times especially in the Valleys who provide a huge slice of City's potential support. The Club has been lazy in attracting new supporters, instead relying upon our relative success. It's about time they pulled their fingers out!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Glad the long journey was worth while :ayatollah:
Pure talented Kim Bow, but needs to be stronger when he has the ball, reminds of Earnie getting knocked of it, in his early days.

Malky Mackay paid tribute to Cardiff's humble approach after victory over Middlesbrough took them second.

Matt Connolly's header settled a tight game between the promotion hopefuls and gave City a record-equalling ninth straight win at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The result was all the more impressive given early injuries to Ben Turner and Andrew Taylor which forced Mackay to use teenagers Ben Nugent and Joe Ralls.

Mackay said: "I'm delighted with the character of the team and the fact we kept another clean sheet at home, but that is no surprise to me because I see that from the players every day.

"Middlesbrough had been on a roll and we knew it would be a tough game. But it became tougher when we lost two players after 20 minutes. We had to put young players in and they did brilliantly well.

"To show that resilience against a good team showed the commitment to the cause and there are no egos at this club."

That is most prob the best win I have seen in years , even if we were outplayed many times. The backbone and fight the players showed more than made up for it , even with the most bias and simply poor ref I have ever seen.
