We took 18 from the possible 21.

That is promotion form, whether we look at the last 7 or the whole 10 games.

Anyone feeling they were a bit premature with their downbeat predictions after just 3 games in this thread ?

Hark at you with the "I told you so" nonsense!

Palace was a terrible result. We had that game won but we could equally have lost some of the other games, including the latest one against Ipswich. Whether it's luck or tactics or whatever, I really don't care, as long as we win and remain top. It's a long season and far too soon for any of us to gloat. Good fun, so far, though!

Hopefully, we'll get 3 points at Forest and I'll be there with many others to cheer the boys to victory.

NO . We were very lucky last night , we were played off the park for large periods on the match and the football we played in the 1st half was dire and boring beyond belief . Why does it take us to be losing and played off the park before Malky works out that 1 up front does not work at all ?

But at the end of the day a win a win, but bar Wolves and Blackpool our football been pretty shit and so is the amount of chances and shots on goal . Its just so boring ....

As long as we don't keep on letting leads slip away from us, we should do really well.

Leicester, Wolves fans etc...

they will all have been rubbing their hands yesterday tea-time knowing we had
no Bellamy, Mutch or Smith, plus one long term Maynard.

THEY wont be thinking we are lucky with a shit manager and no plan B.

they will be thinking

"SHIT... these fuckers are digging results out even when they
have half a team out"

All I can say about to the majority of doom and gloomers who posted on that
thread Carl is.. be f*cking man enough to admit you know f**k all about football..

and if you ARE Cardiff City fans... what a relief its Malky and the dressing room and not
these dummy spitting dimwits

Just because we won 6 out of 7 when I said we would win none is being a bit harsh.

Exactly . I am looking at the bigger picture. At home we have it spot on but away we are miles away on getting it right. What I am trying to say is other than the bottom 3 or 4 teams we would of lost that game on Saturday. There was no balance in the side. I am not saying playing with one up front is wrong but to play it well you need the right players in the right positions. Good attacking wingers which should of been Noone and Conway. Whitts to play the attacking Midfielder. But untill Conway came on and MM changed it a tad, we carried zero threat. I can see that why do so many ignore it. Being top is early days very early days. Yes it's fantastic but we have been riding our luck a bit. But we can run away with this league with this team but the question for me is can MM do it ? I am not saying get rid of MM far from it but my concerns is he seems to be making the same mistakes.

I watch the football and our negative brand of football is totally off putting for me . I don't hate Malky and think he a genuine nice sound guy, but I just hate his formations and his unwillingness to push players forward and play an attacking formation

I go to watch football to be entertained and see goals , not be bored out of my skull and sadly that's what Malky team does - I mean some matches we're lucky to have 9 attempts at goal for the whole match

Like Nukes, I'm also uneasy about how Malky is setting the team up away from home.
Let's be honest for a moment and say for the first hour at Ipswich we looked relatively solid at the back, but going forward absolutely clueless. Resorting to the long hoofball of last season ignoring the midfield. Whitts was AGAIN playing like another cb and Helguson had no support. With Cowie in the middle with Whitts and Gunnar it was cluttered. It doesn't take a genius to work out that we subsequently gave possession away and Ipswich were attacking again.
Ipswich were poor. A better team would have put us to bed long before Malky changed to 4-4-2.
Conway doing the business and Gestede being a physical pain for them.
Each game I read the stats as to how many attempts on goal we have. We are like Jeckle and Hyde home and away.
So c'mon Malky play the same attacking 4-4-2 formation away that we do at home (Stop Whitts playing so deep) and let our opposition worry about stopping us, rather than us being defensive and negative to stop them.
