Over the last 9 years we have been in the championship while they have been mostly been at a lower level than the championship. The point of comparing those is what exactly? There isn't one.

YOU want to compare our 5th, 6th and 7th season in the champ with their 1st, 2nd and 3rd essentially .... Yes we are in the same league but had an extra 5-7 years to build the fan base, hardly a fair comparison.

FAIRNESS suggests not only should we compare when in he same league but also the same stage of establishment in that league. Swansea were only there for 3 years so that's all we have to go on. They averaged 15,300 in comparison to our 13,100 when in our first 3 years. It took us another 3 years to get out of that average to attendances we are used to today, who's to say Swansea wouldn't have done the same?

Even when in a new stadium and us at Ninian Park they could only get better crowds the first season.

Once again a very good/fair response, (shame the other knuckle heads/jacks don't post the same way) yes our stadium can be increased very quickly, it can go up to 35,000 in a matter of a couple of months, (summer) the main structure of the stadium was built to hold 60,000 which could be achieved over a 12 month period if required, the one thing i dissagree with is if we got to the premiership, our 35,000 would not be big enough for the demand, now that may well level out after a period of sustained top level football, but at first it certainly would'nt be big enough.

There are certainly spikes over a season, and yes, the first season in the Premier League would see huge attendances but over time they will even out. Lets say for example, Swansea are playing Man Utd, I think we would easily sell around 40,000 tickets, possibly for one or two other games as well, but the rest of the time, we would end up with 10,000 empty seats and it would be the same for yourselves. It's a balancing act and a fine line for sure.

Here's an example for you, whisper it, but there are still a few tickets available for tomorrows match with Reading, not really the Swans fault as Reading have returned some at the last minute and they will sell out by the end of today, but it shows that the demand is slightly dropping off already.
