Posterior cruciate ligament injury
Injury to this ligament is not as common as an ACL injury. This is because the PCL is wider and stronger than the ACL. There are a number of ways that the PCL can become injured. For example, it may be injured during a car accident if the front of your bent knee hits the dashboard. It may also be injured from falling on to your bent knee. Your PCL can also be injured if your knee is hit from the front whilst your leg is stretched out in front of you with your foot on the ground - for example, during a game of football.

4-6 weeks Rest then 2-3 weeks light training before any serious physical training can be applied.

Lets put it this way its not good news and personally I dont expect him back on the pitch for quite a long time, be hopeful before Xmas at best.

I have heard Carl, the club will say they are hopeful that Maynard will start to recover within the next month or so, but the real picture is, its a few months, not good at all.

Just like you heard Adam Szalai may have been coming here only for people on CCMB to make it up on the spot?

Sounds to me like -7-10 points of our season tally...

obviously massive loss, he would win us games and points, we only have 1 man of that quality now and have to hope nothing happen otherwise it could ruin our great start

(going back to bristol city 4-1.... we are clearly not invincible without him or bellamy

I have never ever mentioned his name on here in my life, so why the sarcasm?

I'm not being sarcastic, sorry if I offended. Someone mentioned his name and asked you and you said 'possibility', apologies...

Get well soon NM! :ayatollah:

Ah well can't get them all right Carl, the main thing is that they can get on with it now and treat him accordingly. Mason could do a job, malky could have something up his sleeve aswell letting Earnie go out on loan to free up wages. Who knows?

There's no dough left mate, will have to be a clever loan.

A real shame and expect to see bellers come in up front for home games.

Is it just me or does bellamy playing just behind mason sound like an awsome prospect

I trust malky will have something up his sleeve, someone who can do a job similar to Maynard. Yeah Bellamy could do the job short term, can't see him doing it all season

seriously doubt craig will play twice a week more than a handful of times

We got 2 home games in a week coming up soon though at the end of October, can't see Bellamy playing both to be Honest

I just think a loan signing is needed now because who have we got if mason picks up a knock? Bellamy can't play all the time which is fair enough. Helguson the same, and I know gestede will be injured as soon as he comes back too

As I said earlier mate, my feeling was that he would be out for months and we would be lucky to have him back this side of Christmas, unfortunately our worse fears have been realised and even though he only played 3 games, he will be a huge loss to the squad.

Yeah everyone is shocked by the severity of it, nobody thought it would be the worst type of injury it could have been. It's just shame because he's a match winner

Velikonja is the other option but it will prbly end up being bellers when fit and 4-5-1 in the others.

When I played Football for Glyncoed some boy on the other team we played had this and he was out for 5 months.. so if Maynard has all medical treatment he could be back within 4 months.

malky seemed to think alot longer in his interview. with a good recovery maybe by the end of season if not raring to go in time for next season.

The injury happened right in front of us. Nicky went down, indicated at once that he was in trouble, and stayed down, no rolling about, or any nonsense. It looked very bad, and sadly, this has been confirmed. It was an accident, no Millwall player was to blame. First and foremost, lets hope that he makes a full recovery. The boy has done great so far for us, and has played a huge part in our three straight wins. Get well soon Nicky.

As for the team, well, lets hope that Malky can adapt, as I'm sure he will. This just shows how important that we have a strong squad. We have still got about 40 games to go. A few injuries can spoil the best plans, so lets hope that we get no more.

Same thing happened to Ross McCormack. Hope that Ross is on the mend soon, as well.

Cruel game, sometimes.
