Borini was doing very well for Roma having broken into Italy's squad, whilst Allen is more than good enough. Both still young and plenty of time to improve. Don't be that bitter

Rodgers has done nothing majorly wrong so far and is suffering the mistakes of Dalglish who spent ridiculous amounts of English players thinking that way of football works but the simple fact is he was way out of touch with the modern game and its completely different tactically and how it is managed now. Even his PR stunts proved how out of touch he was at times.
Brendan has shifted out the dead wood and got Allen who has been Liverpool's best player this season. His passing stats have been amazing. He has given youth a chance and Sterling looks like a decent player who will make an impact. Borini will take time to settle and should be played down the middle, not the right wing. Assaidi is a quality acquisition for the price they paid. Sahin will take time to get up to speed with the English game and is not as fit as he should be having not played much football.
What was the point in keeping Carroll? He doesn't fit the philosophy so would have been on the bench losing value. Liverpool want to sell him in the future so the best thing to do is loan him out to a team where he can shine and keep his value up, it makes sense.
People saying Carroll could be used in Rodgers' style of play are completely deluded. His footwork is terrible.
The problem Liverpool have now is in the boardroom. The owners don't want to be taken advantage of financially. This means they've gone to the other extreme and rather than overspend on a player they're refusing to meet the valuation of a player even if its not a massive sum.
The only way Liverpool will ever return to former glory is if they get bought out by a billionaire or a new breed of world class players comes through their youth system. If that doesn't happen they won't be able to compete with the top teams.
