£100m a year wage bill jesus how clueless.

Think I'll stick to debating & chatting with the mentally stable on here.

Toodle pip.

I was sitting in the lower tier which was about a third full, most of the QPR support was in the upper tier, which having watched MOTD, didn't really show the supporters up there. I guess in total about 1,200 travelled, given that it was still the summer holidays, a Saturday evening game and also on TV wasn't too bad. If it had been a normal Saturday game then I would expect that the number travelled would have been well in excess of 2,000. In addition to this, the game came on the back of another away game last week at Norwich, where the greedy bastards charged us £45 a ticket  Still if you guys get to the 'Promised Land', you'll realise what a rip off it is.

As far as the finances of QPR go, well, we have shifted 17 players off the payroll from last season and some of them were in eye-watering wages that you would not believe. Personally with our squad now, I feel that survival is more than achievable even with Hughes at the helm, what I am more concerned about is with regards to Cardiff. You guys were already leaking £1,2million a mon without the latest batch of signings, which will have pushed the losses even higher. If you don't achieve promotion this season, which I suggest will be harder than last year then things could look very messy for you. Lets just hope that it turns out good for both clubs.

Not clueless at all do the math Stan.

Joey Barton was on 4m a year, I bet Marseille aint paying all of that.

If you are paying Rob Green 2.5m a year then I dread to think how much you will be paying your top players.

Zamora - 5m a year not to mention your new signings who will be on close to 5m a year if not more.

Youve got a MASSIVE squad and I estimate you are paying players in the region of 3-5m a year (thats 60-100k a week to those who cannot do the math), you are also paying part wages of players youve released because their new clubs wouldnt take on all the wages, you also have to pay the management team, the non playing staff.etc.

100m is not as ludicrous as you are suggesting.

My apoplogies.

I didn't realise you worked in the accounts dept at QPR & had access to every member of the squads contracts.

Yes true.....but lets not ingore what he did to take us that close! I mean we played well in Russia and we havent been that close to qualifying for a long time.

With Blackburn he was very good to.

Don't much care what wage bill QPR have because they have people involved at the club who make VT look like a pauper.

Whatever your views of Mark Hughes one thing he has proved is that he doesn't do relegation, his time at Blackburn and Fulham prove that, and given time he will improve QPR.

Far to early to write off any PL team better in my opinion to wait until about 15 games in. I think at that stage QPR will be looking a much better prospect.

All on silly wages though Stan hence the point I made in the OP. If you havent put relegation clauses in you will be f*cked.

We made £46m in Sky money last season rising to £60m this season, I'm pretty sure wages are covered.

But don't let facts get in the way of things eh ;)

The money wont cover the wages if you get relegated. Id be surprised 60m covers the wage bill this season.

£60m is from Sky.

Have you forgotten about our other numerous multi million pound sponsorship deals? Gate money, merchandise etc? Oh riiiight.

Also if worst came to the worst I guess you've never heard of parachute payments. My apologies.

Try again :)

The new TV deal doesn't come in until 2013/14

Ok so projected income for this season £50m + still not enough to cover wages after shifting 17 off the wage bill?

All those transfers and all they can muster up is a pair of fulham rejects upfront :?

Still go along with this, some very poor players and a average manager.

Once again polo is correct QPR are in the shit and Fernandez doesn't know whether to gamble
Now and stick with Hughes or do what he should
Have done after 8 games and sack him, as for their wage bill stan is also deluded an if our wage bill is close to £30 million then to assess QPR at between £60-100m is pretty reasonable considering our average wage is £15k a week roughly and QPR is close to treble that, not so unrealistic is it Stanley

Careful what you wish for. From where I'm looking Cardiff could also find themselves in a whole heap of financial shit if you don't go up this season & the Malaysians pull out.

Thats been said about us the last 10 season.

Hate to say we told you so stan even redknapp said that the whole team is overpaid and the wage bill is colossal, redknapp now wants t least 5 new players and he'll need to ship out before he ships in and what club will take on any QPR players after today's horror show?
