Do you honestly believe it will be peaceful Steve? Not seen any threats made towards KCB, however there's been a story on here of a man being threatened while out and about for wearing red and I too have been threatened for my views! It is only the pro-red camp who I see that are on the receiving end of anything untoward. However, judging from Friday and Saturday this baord also represent a small minority of Cardiff fans and the overwhelming vast majority seem to have either embraced the change or are happy to accept it.

What happened at the Muni has nothing to do with club honestly. As for banning the protest they are well within their rights to no offence. Honestly you can still protest outside of the grounds theres nothing stopping you

Everyone has a right to voice their opinion and I believe it is poor on the club to take this action.

I am against going red like many others, but will continue to support the Bluebirds and wear my blue shirt to games.

I accept that without the Malaysian's we would be in further trouble, however I hope that one day we will return to a blue home shirt.

I do not expect any trouble within or outside of the ground as I think both camps actually understand the others viewpoint however over the top some of the comments may be.

They want to avoid the violence that has been expressed by members of KCB while the SKY TV cameras are there. What's wrong with that?

Re: Protest cancelled

Thu Aug 16, 2012 3:21 pm

Its really not a surprise is it? The last thing Tan would want is further bad press on the opening game live on sky after the rebrand.

If he wants big sponsors on board he would be trying to paint a good picture of the fans accepting it, and pointing towards high shirt sales, so the last thing he would want is protests being splashed all over the news and lets be honest sky will be looking for it anyway.

even if I wear Blue tomorrow night (which I won't be) that doesn't necessarily mean I'm backing KCB. It may mean my red shirt is dirty because I've been wearing it so much! Wearing blue isn't a protest!!!

Re: Protest cancelled

Thu Aug 16, 2012 3:37 pm

I have been told we have sold 3000 Red shirts! (Not sure how true that is!) this is apart from any other memoribilia in red, and has already netted the club close to £105,000 (RRP Sales) this will continue to rise as the season passes! obviously once the blue shirts go on sale - It will double that as well!

Can't see using the tactics - "don't buy anything red" making much difference if im honest.

None of us WANT red, we are blue and would love to remain blue. But it's gone passed the stage where we were ever going to do anything about, that was decided at the dinner table one day while Tan was eating his supper! (FINAL DECISION)

We just have to accept it now and move on - The club are clearly against any protests and have stated anyone will be removed, can't see any exceptions to that!

1 day to go, Top of the league? :D :ayatollah:

Exactly Natman..all ime saying is wear Blue if you want or Red.just support the team without making a scene.!

If there is any protest during the game it will just prove that you still want to cone and support the team and club otherwise you wouldn't be at the game at all in 'protest' against the rebrand, be embarrassing if you do it during the game where you've all vowed to stay away until we're back Blue!

Since the council still techniqually have the rights in our stadium, won't that decree that the police have the right to stop protests within the stadium too?

Spot on! Just don't want KCB to think that anyone wearing blue is automatically doing so in support of them, saying that (and even though they more than like won't read this) I don't want anyone at the club thinking that either.

A few little points, would you allow a protest on you'r land to go ahead if
1. The Organisers are unknown in name, no one is accountable or responsible for the groups actions.
2. Many of the known KCB have already made huge insults against you and your country.
3. Going to any length to ensure your business goes to the wall unless you give them what they want.
Do you really agree with it Taffy but I certainly wouldn't. I think we all would prefer Blue but come on!!.

Minding my own buisness isn't as funny, we're closing in on signing a Spanish international, whilst you lot would take it up the arse for VT and not say a word if you slipped you a twenty.

Kind of missed the f*cking point here mate...who gives a rats arse what KCB, VT etc think? It's how you can look at yourself in the mirror in the eye every morning..

Me? I'll never EVER support the rebranding, I'll wear blue tomorrow night and every home game of the season, will never buy any merchandise from the club again...unless we turn back to blue (but lets face it, if everyone just accepts the rebrand as you have done, VT will think the rebrand has been a big success and will never give us our colour back)..

The Colour means a lot to me, the bluebird too! Both absolutely at the heart of our identity...yet some tossers on here try to belittle people who are, at least, trying to do something to get blue back (no matter how futile it may be)

Listen I was sat three seats away from you and that woman...was she with you? She was the most abusive person in the room and you seemed to be nodding away and shouting shut up all the time....I was and am all for a blue shirt but the most vile I witnessed at the muni was that old biddy you was with who called somebody a Paedo and child abuser...no wonder he lost his temper.

Re: Protest cancelled

Thu Aug 16, 2012 4:57 pm

Oh dear any protest will be dealt with in typical Asian style   . This is Great Britain and in Great Britain you are allowed to protest. Doing this will make tensions worse and move any protest inside the Stadium. And if they crack down on that it will persuade many more to follow.
Merlin you say no one wants red :o that is not true there is a lot that love it. Some saying none of us want red but rushed through the :o Club shop door to buy there pig sick kit with a pig shit badge. So that is embracing it and backing it.
So can we stop the myth of wanting the Blue back by everyone because that is certainly not true. Most want this red to end the debt but as we stand we are still nearly 90 million up shit creak. If i feel its the right time to make my feelings known in the stadium, as now it has been banned out side i will. Free speech is still something we cherish to an extent here and i ain't having no Malaysians telling me otherwise.
