Another bright spot for the club is that they had record sales for an opening weekend on shirt sales, not only that but club officials tell me that it is not just the red shirts that selling well but fans are buying all things red from the superstore, I know this news may sadden some City supporters but this is the truth of the situation, fans are backing the colour change based on the first few days of sales.
The Huddersfield game, when the fixtures were first released, was considered to be a police-free game but due to the fixture being moved to the Friday evening which allows more drinking time for supporters and the issue of the re-branding, the police feel there is a need to have a presence on the night.
The club expect there to be a crowd of around 22,000 judging by current sales, the expected walk up and the near on 700 Huddersfield fans attending.
City are hopeful to still bring a couple of signings in before the game on Friday but one name I can quash is that of Michael Owen, he has not been training with City, he has not had a medical and Cardiff have not made any moves to try and sign him.

But 22,000 is a pretty small crowd considering it's the first game of the season and we've signed Bellers. If we were still blue IMO we would be expecting about 24,000
Jack, I am with u all the way on this, I will never buy any of this rebrand stuff, I don't care if we are the minority, I am Blue no matter what and will never ever be swayed.
I am also surprised that the crowd will be that low due to our so called huge investment/debt.
No seriously with Bells back, I expected a near sell out.

Great news, as we all know the vast majority of supporters are prepared to back VT in what he is trying to achieve at our club, and that is to get into the PL.
This is the time to get behind the team not for protests, as time goes by we will look back at the re brand as just another chapter in our history, as what happened when Sam tried to do a re brand, that was to reach out to as many supporters as he could, great news about ST sales.
I suppose that the doom and gloom merchants will still try to put a negative spin on what is happening, that is the thing about our support we are never satisfied, if we did get to the PL they will still find something to criticise about![]()

What a stupid thing to say about the colour , We couldn't sell out play off semi against West Ham.
22-23,000 will be a good gate considering we are on tv as well.
