Whittingham used to play for Villa though so that's probably a relic of when he was there as a lad.


Probably had a youth player called Michael Owen in Cardiff some time in the past too.

Owen scored in every game he appeared in, except 1 or 2 last season? He'd bang them in at this level, as he would in the Prem. He'd be a quality signing and maybe he wouldn't get a weekly starting place but he'd be a superb super-sub!

He said in an interview he wouldnt drop down to the championship and if he doesnt sign for a prem team he will look to retire?!

Think he will look like a bit of a muppet if he signs for a championship side now!

He needs to get back to his sharpness so a season in this division would be good for him ready for a year in the prem then if the team he went to got promoted!
