I told you on Monday that Craig would not sign before Friday this week at the earliest and this evening I can confirm that Bellamy's agent is travelling down tonight to finalise the deal tomorrow.

Everything has been agreed at Liverpool and Craig wants to be a City player, the deal will happen.

Have to ask but why the fuss about bellamy? Never set championship alight two years ago, so why now? With 100m to invest in your club,why the fook are you picking up free agents or nominal fee players approaching retirement? All i can see bellamy doing is selling a few extra shirts in asia. You have had a good squad recently and many outsiders would have seen you buying young , in demand players especially with 100m on tap.

Totally agree. I was told at the beginning of July that the deal was done and it would be announced when Craig's involvement in the Olympics was over. Obviously, they would have to make sure there were no injuries picked up in the Olympics and actually sign the papers this week. But the move was agreed WEEKS ago....
