He was signed for £1.7m with potentially a couple of million more, quite a lot of money I'd expect a good goal return especially alongside a target man unlike Miller last year.

Will take him a fair while to settle in the club and this league!

I've betted (and watched) quite a bit of European football over the last couple of years and even though Maribor have been a VERY consistent team that loses quite few games, the standard of league the play in is poor, and slow.

This is hell of a change for him, and will need a season just to get a feel of things.

Of course that is fair enough, I just hope his style is not wasted my sticking him up front on his own in the headless chicken Kenny Miller role when we lump balls up with no hope, with Helguson I'm feeling really positive whoever we play alongside him tbh he can be so useful like when he lead QPR's promotion winning attack he played as the main target man with the pace of Taarabt, Routledge etc coming off him.

Definitely -helguson for me is a huge signing on a 1year deal and shows Malky is hopefully going to play more of a 442 with him playing. So will we be using a striker currently in the ranks along side him, or looking to sign another fast small striker?

Or is Bellamy coming and going to play up front with him?
So many decent options in midfield now that I wouldn't be surprised to see Bellamy as a striker rather than a winger cutting in.

This sounds good how about some type of 4-2-3-1 with Mason, Kimbo and Bellamy all providing the pace and skill in behind Helguson.
