For a 5ft 10 man he has a spring that is simply unbelievable. He wins headers at least 8 times out of 10, is a total war horse giving defenders no room or time to settle & is deadly from the spot also.

You will get him for free I'd imagine if not then very cheaply & will get you goals guaranteed.

You only need his services for one season only if you purchase wisely elsewhere.

is this an indication bellamy may be going to QPR

Heard from a very strong source Bellamy is NOT going to QPR mate.

I think this is a bloody good signing! especially on a free transfer!

9 goals in 16 Premier League appearances for a struggling Premier League side. Looks a useful acquisition to me at this level. Also, Malky knows him and how to get the best out of him.

Lots of people on here would like us to have Bothroyd back, but Helgusson was getting selected ahead of Bothroyd last season and was a much more successful striker.

Good signing.

Incidentally, people on here talk about a 20 goal striker - how do we know yet that Velikonja is not our "20 goal striker"?

He harassed Man City a shite load when I saw him play. He'll be quality for us. There's also the Icelandic connection between Gunnarsson and Helguson too. :ayatollah:

As far as I'm aware Bellamy is ours...... Unless that something seriously goes wrong, he's a city player.

We should be happy with all the players we are signing!

I personally think he will be a decent signing and it just makes more competition for the squad.. It sounds like people on here just want a quality starting 11 and are not thinking about injuries etc... we need who ever we can get in my opinion, if we want automatics we got to have a large squad and not just a good starting 11.. How people are so negative i will never know!

YOU POSTED THIS IN THE WATFORD THREAD
What? A 35 year old keeper, a 31 year old defender, 3 players that were on trial anyhow, a player that didn't make it at wycombe and dropped to non league and a player on loan that was injured for whole of last season only played 2 games for udenise in 2 seasons. Not a penny spent. Imagine if that was our signings??

ALL OF A SUDDEN AGE IS OK :?

Always good to add experience to a squad, although I'd prefer Jay back.

Good signing :ayatollah: Is he the mystery striker though? :ayatollah:

Re: The latest on Helguson

This is a superb signing, people are missing the point with this signing. He will be the best super sub since the days of Ross McCormack. Regardless of his age he will turn a
Lot of games around for us, well done Malky. :ayatollah:

Good signing if we pull it off. Nice to have a strong striker since Rudy is injured a fair bit :ayatollah:

Good signing no matter what age he is, will get goals and cause defences havoc.

well done Malky, another one out of the blue.

Before any more of the doom and gloomers start complaining about Helguson's age I would suggest you first take your brains out of your arse, check his goals to games ratio and then check how the QPR fans feel about him leaving.

This is a quality player. Better than Miller and Bothroyd combined with a lot more energy than either of them. He will get goals in this division, lots of them. Good signing.
