no.tbh you could say 6m for a untried keeper at even champ level then take it.it,s not like we,ve lost a player cos he hasn,t played for us.6m after the olympics will at the least be only 2/3rds of his value.so pannu got it right.i,m hoping he will be playing for us next season even if he,s sold and loaned back.let,s not lie .a massive bid and he,s gone

I agree he has potential but he's not good now. He's very average. He can become a good keeper but the way some people are frothing over him on here is insane. He'll also never reach the heights of Joe Hart either.

He is quite good for a 19 year old. As for never reaching the heights of Joe Hart he wasnt exactlly being touted to being one of the best keepers in the world so how can you say how good Butland is going to become. For a young player he has played really well for GB

15 months almost now. :ayatollah:

Had to do some talent identification course and then I applied for a job at numerous places etc all over the world and got given the opportunity as an understudy and now I'm a scout there. Its very tiring work and a lot of time travelling on the planes etc. Don't get much family time either which is a shame but oh well, its football, the sport we love.

Did my badges during university on the side because was boring :D

When I applied for the job loads of them said my computer science degree was impressive and would help finding talent as a lot of it is statistics/maths etc. trends which a lot of computer science is based on maths etc. This worked out good for me.

Once I have done 2 years I will leave and work for EA. This will explain it better than I can. Cant wait to move to Canada will hopefully get to see Kenny play if he's still there. :ayatollah:

Re: Jack Butland

Looks a very promising talent, but then so did Rob Green, Scott Carson, Ben Foster and Wayne Hennessey but are nowhere near Hart's standard. Butland could be the one though.

Hart, IMO, is the best goalkeeper in the world. It will take something very special to knock him off number one.

Agree. A mate of mine said the other day after one of GB's group games that Butland will be the England no.1 within 5 years, but somehow I doubt it.

When you are looking at a player in real life... They don't have stats marking how good they are out of 20, floating over their heads.

This will be my last post to you before you go on my ignore list (which is saying something as even RoathMagic didn't make it that far!)

You are clearly not a scout for a serie A club, at best you put ads in the paper
To find school boys to join Rhondda Rhinos, or whatever kids football team can stand your
Arrogant nature.

I come to this conclusion quite easily. You disagree with people (who are clearly right) to make it
Look like you have a 'football brain'
Jack B is already a great goalkeeper, he did very well tonight (the save from the free kick was a particular highlight at the end
Of the game) and was amazing when he came on against Brazil.
This is clear for all to see, yet, you have to disagree for the sake
Of it.

You are a complete bellend, you are full of sh*t, and your father is probably your brother (last point is just a guess, but one I would bet good money on)

The fact that you are so full of sh*t means that I don't even want to acknowledge that you have posted.

I agree with Aramore. If he can sort his kicking out he can be fantastic. His handling is great (Save from Suarez' free kick). He's 6'4''. Good reflexes. Good at dealing with crosses. Plus he's only 19 and already been called up to an England tournament squad.

No. He is very nervous, very shaky, lacks composure, has very edgy kicking ability and does not always hold on to the ball with simple shots
