I would like to know that as well !
Because it was being broadcast as an open meeting.
When in reality it was just a meeting for pro blue's.

So it wasn't open then![]()
It was restrictive on its entry requirements very much in the same way a night club is restrictive in terms of clothing.
An open meeting cant be ' you can come as long as you agree with us'. Thats not open. I dont think you understand what the term open means in terms of meetings etc.
It was a stupid move to call it an open meeting.

A meeting has been organised for next Tuesday evening, 24th July at 19.00 at the Cardiff General & Municipal Club, 11-13 City Road, Cardiff.
With the Forest Green friendly almost upon us and the first League game against Huddersfield only 4 weeks away, it'll be a good opportunity for us to share ideas and formulate a plan of action.
This is an open meeting for anybody who supports the aim of the Keep Cardiff Blue campaign, so feel free to bring any like-minded fans along with you, but we don't want the meeting hijacked so please ensure that those you tell can be trusted not be disruptive.
Please be there if you possibly can.

That exact copy of the invite didnt get across CCMB though thats teh point. It was broadcast as 'there is an open meeting at xyz place.' People then passed that on. Word of mouth and details get lost in translation.
The fact remains it was broadcast as an open meeting but was in fact a restrictive meeting.

Gwyn weren't the only one in attendance. Maybe others got wind of this and decided to go and Gwyn went along to make sure it didn't get too out of hand.

I can honestly say, I haven't met anyone who would choose red, but if it's part of the package, then many of us will go along with it, even if it is reluctantly.
My personal view and the approach I intend taking, is to fully support the team on the pitch as always, hope and pray that VT fulfills his promises that went along with the rebrand,he deserves at least that much after rescuing us from the mess we were in, however if in six months or so time it is apparent we have been lied to or shafted, then it's a whole new ball game and we should all let him know the consequences, but until then we should keep our powder dry.
Protesting now seems pointless to me at present because we are stuck with red and a crap badge for at least one season,no problem with actions such as wearing blue shirts, and actually suggested it myself as a form of peaceful protest in the first meeting with the club and fans. But we can't disrupt the team or events on the pitch, that is madness in my eyes.
And just for the record as others have said, no threats were made by me personally other than as a generalization that was shared by a good few, I wouldn't stand by and just allow disruption to events on the pitch without at least trying to prevent it, if that is seen as a threat, then it should only be seen as one by those planning such actions.

Gwyn , I am not clear what you mean by "no threats were made by me OTHER THAN as a generalisation".
It cannot be denied that one person, and not my good self, did say that if anyone protested unlawfully or did something such as throw a smoke bomb etc on the pitch and disrupt the team etc. they would personally hand them to the police or stewards or in their words deal with it themselves, and everyone was aware of what that meant, but he didn't aim that at any particular person, to me that was a fair warning that some Cardiff fans would not sit back and let others detract from on the pitch matters. Anyone wanting to peacefully protest without affecting on field events so get on with it, it's their choice, even though it may not be my choice at the moment, I think the letter to VT was aimed correctly and a positive move, and a petition worded non confrontation ally may also help, but that is just my personal opinion.
Do you mean that you didn`t make any threats against individuals , but did make them against people gathered at that meeting in general?
I mean, I didn't make any threats period, ask witness's to be specific.
If its right that one woman made those insulting and ridiculous comments to Sam at the end of the meeting , then that is as totally unacceptable as the threats of violence made beforehand at the meeting by the group you were part of.
I also don`t see why peaceful protests against the rebranding both inside and outside the stadium disrupts the team on the pitch as surely they will receive the full support of all supporters at the game. It is not their fault , or the manager`s , that they are being made to wear a change of kit that they don`t believe in either.
Exactly
Its not as if this is like the Blackburn situation where fans were having a go at the manager as well as the owners which I disagreed with as I could see it having a possibly adverse effect on the players.
Why are you so against freedom of speech and freedom to express those views in a peaceful manner in this case?
Me the chopsiest most out spoken person on the earth against the freedom of speech, don't think so.![]()

All a bunch of playground drama queen fairies who are scared because of your e-reputation.
I quite frankly, as an adult, do not give a shit. No disrespect intended but im an adult and dont care about this tittle tattle nonsense Gwyn.
In your interviews I've seen you've come across as extremely passionate. Whilst at times it may border on the 'chill out a moment' I cant say much because we've all been a bit OTT.
You certainly do not come across as an individual to fear or I would fear. There is no damn way.
I suggest anyone who does fear you in fact has a good look at themselves and question why. Might be more to do with their own issues than the 'supposed' threat you and your posse pose.
