Duh. For God sake irony is wasted on here, people go on about business plans, and the truth is, it's his money, his risk his gamble, why do we need to know or worry about his BUSINESS PLAN, coz at the end of the day it's his business, if it fails he get's stung, at the end of the day we have come so close to Administration. liquidation etcif the worse case scenario happens we'll have lost no more than we faced losing before he stepped in, and at least we are having a punt and in with a good chance as far as I see it.
Business plan---- Buy a club, invest the needed funds get the right manager and staff and make it succesful then sell it for a profit, ALLEGEDLY, quite simple plan really.![]()

Spot on Martyn, he lit the fires and started the ball rolling fair play to him, and if we have to pay ten or fifteen million, whatever, don't think many will begrudge that after you think how far we have come, never thought we'd come this far so quick, he said it would be a roller coaster and he was spot on there.

So his plan is to buy something and sell it for a profit?.... so he buys something worth £15 million for £90 millionyeah ok.
Its not his money and its not his risk, when will you understand that? The minute he takes control of the club.. HE OWNS EVERYHTING WE HAVE, real estate, players the stadium etc. all his.

RoathMagic wrote:THE REAL BUSINESS PLAN
TG informs Tan of a good investment opportunity, £6 million for 40% of a club in a strong position for promotion and the Sky money and a vessel for advertising his companies. Made cheap due to their financial trouble, it also gives him scope to loan to the club with an interest rate of 7%....
The promotion bid fails and we face winding up orders, putting his investment at risk. He decides this would be a perfect opportunity to loan the club money to stave off these while earning 7% interest and protecting his investment at the same time...
We fail in promotion again and he faces a new threat to his investment - Sam. Sam has the ability to take the club into administration, Tan knows the club cant afford that and he would lose the majority of the massive investment he has spent to protect his money...
Tan decides to get rid of any third party that could threaten his investment so he negotiates to pay them off leaving himself as sole creditior. He will then take control of the club owning EVERYTHING from player registrations to the stadium and his unsecured loan has instantly become a secured one.
THAT i how businesmen work. Not buying something worth £15 million for £90 million (a tenth of his total worth) while losing £15 million a year and then just crossing your fingers that we may have some decent kids coming through the academy one day.
Ill say it again - WAKE UP!!

It is obvious to see that the U.K. for whatever reason is seen as a country that many others want to have links with, not just the far East, but the middle East and India, the investment and links between these countries and the U.K. appear to develop every day, is it because the U.K is seen as the old image of Stiff Upper Lip old school heritage that others with money want to buy into, many people want to be seen as accepted into the old boys network, why else do so many of these world wide Billionaires send their kids here to be educated. what we see as a mess in some respects, others see as culture and prestige.
Possibly when people like the Abramovich's and other billionaires get to the stage when making money get's to easy, they need the excitement and rush that simple money making business's just don't supply, possibly the kudos and competitive one up-manship that football brings.
It must be great to get simply bored of making money hand over fist, how much can one man spend, how many yachts and home s and planes do you need. Perhaps owning a football club is seen as a status symbol, sadly it seems that way and modern football with all the advertising and TV rights that go with it may be seen as spoiling the OLD GAME.
What I will say is that I live through the old game and had loads of great times, but loads of crap ones as well, if people still search for those old days, then they are still out there, go watch Merthyr live from month to month on a tight budget, but don't kid yourself that their players are playing for the badge or local loyalties, they are dreaming of advancing as far as they can and if you think any of them would turn down a ten grand a week wage to play in the League, then dream on.
As a fan I have spent all my life looking forward and any success whilst being enjoyed as simply stimulated me to want more and better, perhaps ambition and progress are part of life, I'm sure Man United fans are constantly striving for bigger and better every year, even though by many they are seen as to of the pile.
Now back to VT's business plan, make the club successful, enjoy the adulation and kudos and possibly sell it on in a few years time for a massive profit, sounds OK to me, if he's got the financial clout and backing to fund his vison, then that sounds like a plan to me.

Why do you think you will be eased by the debt turning into shares? what difference will that make to the club?
It doent mean he will forget about the £60-90 million hes put in, it means the debt wont be on the books, devaluing the business.
There is no way on earth anyone is going to be making £90 million back from any club, especially one that loses £15-£18 million a year.
So ask yourself, how else is he going to get his money back?
