football is a battle. im fighting with my 6yr old son at the moment. reckons hes a liverpool fan/ because his mates in school support liverpool, theres only one winner here , hes a city fan. or he can pack his bags and go to the childrens home

Posted a similar msg y'day about losing 5-0 at home to maidstone on new years day in the early nineties, and got shot down coz we had a shocking end to last season.

If 'being a decent striker away from scoring in the last minute to beat liverpool in a wembley cup final' is a disaster then i'll take disaster seasons every day of the week.

i'm against the colour change (even more against that travesty of a badge) - but we'll be back in blue and with a tidy badge again before the end of the decade - and who knows - it might be in the premier league as well.

so, i'll keep turning up - like in the eighties, nineties and noughties - to support my team - because that's what i want to do.

What a great post. The Blue shirt has taken a sabbatical and will be back one day (I agree it will be towards the end of the decade or early 20's).

VT's vision is an oppotunity to put this club on a sound footing for the first time ever. We would be mad to turn it down and in 20 years time when we are back playing in Blue, our successors will look back and be mighty impressed with what we have done.

Thanks everyone. My post came from the heart and is exactly how I feel. Glad to see there's several fans on the same wavelength as me. VT improving his offer today is interesting, I expect Langston to refuse the offer and let's face it, if VT really cared and was that desperate to get the Langston debt sorted, and that desperate to bring in some new big signings for us, he would have coughed up the extra million required a while ago. I honestly feel VT doesn't care about our club or the fans, he only cares about one person - himself. It will be interesting to see if VT does offer the full 10 million Langston are asking for and if he does, whether he will stay true to his word and convert our debt into equity. I still don't expect VT to pay off Langston this month. He's a successful businessman and if he's reluctant to pay off another million or two to Langston, I really don't see him taking on our debt, I think VT has just said what he's said to get fans on his side and back his "vision". But there's still 3 weeks left to sort things out this month, so there is no excuse why VT can't sort this, we will just have to wait and see what happens.
