I am certain it wont. They would have to change the gates which would be an insult to everyone. And anyway the bluebird is part of the badge so its still a symbol of this club

I get your point as to be honest there is no difference. I am against the kit change and badge but I see the need of it to some extent. The gates however there would be no point at all except to make more enemies

I was really targeting it directly at you more as a general over the last week or so. As for threating you it wasnt I was just simply stating that if we did turn blue (which would be good) it might make things worse as in regards to debt and investment. I was just trying to put another spin on things if the keep cardiff blue campaign was succesfull

Why would they get rid of the gates when the Bluebird is on the gravestone/memorial near it? The Bluebird is there for a very long time. :ayatollah:

If this is totally unfounded and doesnt happen as we expect this is everything that let's down and discredits the "keep it blue" campaign which is a shame.

Cheers. I understand all the points your getting as I thought that at first and I am against the kit change and I will never buy the kit whilst its red or has that badge on it. But after thinking on it for awhile its for the greater good in my opinion and I dont think VT will go to such extremes as has been suggested.

What uttered nonsense. I have no doubt you have posted this with a good heart but nonsense like this is just turning people who are on the fence into the "red" camp as it is called. Stupid comment like this have divide fans even more based on nothing other than a random thought.

It's post links this that annoy me more than the rebranding. Shot stirring as far as I can see.

more prominence again.

At no point have I mentioned the memorial garden, dead fans or any other bulshit you are making up to slate my name and bring down the blue side,I think you should read my original post again as nothing I say suggests this,at no point have I stated this will happen,I simply asked the question because it is relevant and you have turned it into something it isn't.If you can't answer the question don't bother replying.

You are the one who mentioned the memorial not me!

My answer to your question is why not?

Having said that the very nature of your question, in my opinion, highlights the highly parochial position you have adopted over this rebranding.

I identify those gates with one thing, Ninian Park, and the club has placed them there as a symbol of respect to that wonderful ground that was our home for 98 years. Whenever I see those gates I remember the ground and how I felt wheneverI approached it on matchday, the floodlights for evening games, the atmosphere, the great games and even the smells around the ground.

I even remember the days when there was no "Bluebird" on the gates, no Ninian Park or 1910-2009. Hell I can even remember when there was no badge on the shirt and that's not difficult because we didn't have one until 1969.

Ninian park has gone, demolished and destroyed and exists only in our memories and for me these gates are a reminder of that ground and not the narrow, parochial identification with the Bluebird.

Subjective and emotive stuff typical of the pro blue brigade.

Why are the gates there Dazz? and when was the "Bluebird" added?

My position is I want the gates to remain and each season I take my grandson there and we talk about the old ground, the matches, the fans, the atmosphere and everything it meant to me. I want him to understand our past, as you would say our heritage and in terms of Ninian Park our heritage reamains only in our memories, and those gates are a positive reminder of those memories.

Your position appears to be "Will The Bluebird Remain" an extremely narrow and parochial position where you appear only concerned with the Bluebird. You claim to be concerned with the destruction of our heritage and yet the last remaining piece of Ninian Park, our heritage, is only important to you because of a Bluebird which as I say was added to the gates - When?

In my opinion a very poor thread which highlights the weakness of your assertion that our heritage is being destroyed.

Narrow minded I am not,I am simply asking a question and it seems asking a question is deemed to be derailing the Red train and not a genuine attempt to find out how people feel purely because I have a keep cardiff blue avatar,I didn't have an opinion on the matter my post is asking if the gates will be included in the rebrand and it was twisted and changed to suit the red argument and try to pour scorn on the blue, there was no narrow minded intent or an attempt to stir things up, it is a simple question about the possibilities of this happening which has been taken out of context to suit .,I have my views and as I have said many times the fans are now divided and it seems we will never agree so I see no point discussing anything red v blue any longer.

This is my last post on this subject and the issue of rebranding. :ayatollah:

Its a very negative campaign which isn't going to get Dizzy anywhere. Gosh, I'm accused of sniping at Aniss etc how about people sniping at the club???? We're red this season, get over it, put your energy into doing something far more positive about changing us back to blu rather than a smear campaign. i've seen these tactics before and with perhaps the exception of a general election it won't get you anywhere in this respect, if anything it could lead to a hardening of the club's stance on the matter.
