Surely sorting his future out at Liverpool is a peice of cake, he just walks into the Manager's Office and says "I'm not playing for you, you Jack b*stard"

He should be on the next train home ;)

The news up here in the NW is sounding pretty positive. However, the one thing that does concern me is the fact that CB39 has just signed a boot deal with Warrior and that the entire fee for that will go to the Craig Bellamy Foundation.

I just wonder how Warrior would react if CB39 wasnt playing for Liverpool or indeed another Premiership club?

On the upside Warrior will get loads of free advertising on Malaysian TV ;)

Ridiculous, Cardiff City sell it's soul but wont use that money for players it should to re-tip the balance. No surprise.

Exactly and the song and dance is pathetic. Come out and say "If he can come here for free we'll take him, otherwise we're not in the game"

Other wise this is just smoking mirrors and just as bad as the rebranding process.

Time to move on... This is the same as last yr, if bellamy wants the move he has to make it happen himself, which in no way is he going to.. If bellamy should leave lpool as hes not in their plans, they will want a fee and only the likes of qpr will be willing to do this making them top of the list... If it was about bellamy coming home etc, he was available from man city for a free last yr and we Couldnt make it happen. Theres no way lpool will let go for free...

Let's not forget Neil Warnock came out last year & thanked Craig personally for calling him up & explaining he could not refuse Liverpool's invitation & if they hadn't come in he'd of been a QPR player so the interest has been there for quite a while it seems as Annis & Top Cat have both said.

Personally the way I see it is like this. Craig is from Cardiff, wants to come home, knows it will benefit his young family but the sticking point being your owners are playing on that & are expecting Bellamy to sacrifice his own money to make it happen ie; seems like they're expecting him or wanting him to buy himself out of his own contract effectively.

If QPR put up let's say £2m Cardiff won't even have permission to speak to Craig legally & QPR in Liverpool's eyes are the 'preferred bidder'

Risky business from your lot. I would of thought with all the crap that's gone on lately they would of said let's go out there & get him, bring the boy home, give everyone a boost & lets go into the new season with a determined attitude & a great player to lead us.

Obviously not, they want it on the cheap & are hoping Craig's sentimental side brings himself home.

Still think you guys are in the driving seat but I'd love the lad at QPR I really would. A real winner he is.

Risky business indeed.

The failure to capture Bellamy will result in a wave of red back tracking to blue.

All our so called experts who know what we are prepared to pay make me laugh. If we are prepared to pay a fee why come out and say it? Having said that if you offer 2m plus 50k a week then you're welcome to him

It's all about getting the best with the money available, if we don't pay a fee we could possibly get an additional player or two. You have to realise, Bellamy is a great player, but sometimes it's better to get three really good players.

I think he will come personally, he has a good deal, and a good chance to help his home town club, and live in peace with his family, let's hope Brenda. Doesn't ruin it.....

If we paid £2m plus 50k a week salary for just 2 years I would consider that very good business.

Yes its easy for me to say as I'm not putting up 50k a week but the point is we are still a work in motion, we are still trying to establish ourselves as a Premiership club & to do that sometimes you need to push the boat out. For a player of his calibre for what he brings not only in undoubted talent but also desire, drive, determination, experience, the knowledge he can pass onto our younger lads are all in my opinion absolutely vital to retaining our PL position.

In a couple of seasons if we are still in the PL then yes I'd hope we would be bringing in some home grown talent but as our academy is only just kicking off I see this as a shrewd investment should it materialise.

I don't disagree with you and think it would be a great signing for you. Just given our relative positions at the moment I think we can spend the money better elsewhere. Yeah we may have some cash to spend but I still don't think it's wise to throw it around. I think your lot will be a lot stronger next season and let's hope you start off with a huge win!

its not VT that as said no. malky has a budget and he may not be willing to spend some of it on bellamy because he has already got his list of players made up.
or........ is it all a cover up to make liverpool play ball and offer him to us

Hopefully Liverpool will give him a free as they paid nothing for him, as long as he agrees that he can't sign for another premier league club.

this is what im hoping for, they know hes a good player ,but hes on high wages and is not likely to get better but worse. And in my opinion its all in crags hands, if liverpool do want to get rid, even if qpr offer 2 million, if he refuses and they want him off their wages then they will have to try and deal with us. Remember with the wages hes currently on i recon hes going to cost them atm an extra 2-3 million for the year he has left on his contract. so regardless of whether they get a feee for him they will be 2 -3 million better off.

Re: "UPDATE ON CRAIG BELLAMY "

We'd be really dull to sign him now. He could get fucked in the Olympics. He won't last the season just like the last time he was with us.

Re: "UPDATE ON CRAIG BELLAMY "

I think it would be silly to pay a fee for him. Unless its a free we need to move on.

As much as I love Bellamy, paying a fee reported to me 2-3m and wages of 50k just doesn't make sense for someone with a dodgy knee.

Re: "UPDATE ON CRAIG BELLAMY "

Maybe you could offer Bothroyd & Barton in part exchange for Bellamy!!

His best club football has been under Hughes at Blackburn & Man City, the opportunity to link up once again would be somthing that he would not turn down especially if QPR come up with the monies to so which looks more likely at present
