I just wonder how Warrior would react if CB39 wasnt playing for Liverpool or indeed another Premiership club?

Personally, I'd rather see his £60k a week wage spent on 2 or 3 younger players who will give us strength in depth

Personally the way I see it is like this. Craig is from Cardiff, wants to come home, knows it will benefit his young family but the sticking point being your owners are playing on that & are expecting Bellamy to sacrifice his own money to make it happen ie; seems like they're expecting him or wanting him to buy himself out of his own contract effectively.
If QPR put up let's say £2m Cardiff won't even have permission to speak to Craig legally & QPR in Liverpool's eyes are the 'preferred bidder'
Risky business from your lot. I would of thought with all the crap that's gone on lately they would of said let's go out there & get him, bring the boy home, give everyone a boost & lets go into the new season with a determined attitude & a great player to lead us.
Obviously not, they want it on the cheap & are hoping Craig's sentimental side brings himself home.
Still think you guys are in the driving seat but I'd love the lad at QPR I really would. A real winner he is.

All our so called experts who know what we are prepared to pay make me laugh. If we are prepared to pay a fee why come out and say it? Having said that if you offer 2m plus 50k a week then you're welcome to him

If we paid £2m plus 50k a week salary for just 2 years I would consider that very good business.
Yes its easy for me to say as I'm not putting up 50k a week but the point is we are still a work in motion, we are still trying to establish ourselves as a Premiership club & to do that sometimes you need to push the boat out. For a player of his calibre for what he brings not only in undoubted talent but also desire, drive, determination, experience, the knowledge he can pass onto our younger lads are all in my opinion absolutely vital to retaining our PL position.
In a couple of seasons if we are still in the PL then yes I'd hope we would be bringing in some home grown talent but as our academy is only just kicking off I see this as a shrewd investment should it materialise.

this is what im hoping for, they know hes a good player ,but hes on high wages and is not likely to get better but worse. And in my opinion its all in crags hands, if liverpool do want to get rid, even if qpr offer 2 million, if he refuses and they want him off their wages then they will have to try and deal with us. Remember with the wages hes currently on i recon hes going to cost them atm an extra 2-3 million for the year he has left on his contract. so regardless of whether they get a feee for him they will be 2 -3 million better off.

Surely sorting his future out at Liverpool is a peice of cake, he just walks into the Manager's Office and says "I'm not playing for you, you Jack b*stard"
He should be on the next train home

Maybe you could offer Bothroyd & Barton in part exchange for Bellamy!!
His best club football has been under Hughes at Blackburn & Man City, the opportunity to link up once again would be somthing that he would not turn down especially if QPR come up with the monies to so which looks more likely at present
