Not all youngsters are bad, but i will say, having had children myself, that today's generation are far more lazy,, & lack a general sense of urgency & motivation that what i can remember from growing up [in the 70's].

Its a complete over exaggeration that young people are purely at fault for their perceived flaws. They are products of their time as are their parents, who are materialistic and careless, so it stands to reason their children will be too.
