wouldn't want him if he was on a free and his wages were 50p a week !

We want quality players and he is not in that calibre !

Would you be happy with that?

No maybe half of that, this is what happens when clubs/agent are aware that we have a so-called "decent budget".

Why would we pay 1mil for lawrence, yet we Wouldnt up our bids to a million for the other players we have been in for. he was an average plat who I Didnt think actually improved the team.. Far too slow.. For free and less than 10k a week he would still only be a squad player..... Not for me, far better available and we need pace on the wings.

A free on about 8k a week maybe.

He was decent in some games when he played wide but I honestly believe that was because of our lack of wide options and being used to seeing us to play so narrow.
In any case we should be looking to improve the squad not stay static and pace in a wide area is what is really needed.

I wasn't disagreeing with you in particular, but others in this thread are slating him. Lawrence was a leader and has a quality end product, he was much better on the wing when he caught up with fitness, there's no need for him to beat a man when he can deliver the crosses he can and I would be glad to see him on the right wing for us this season as long as we can get him for a reasonable price and reasonable wages. I agree we will need a pacey tricky winger on the left if Lawrence is on the right mind, but I believe we need a Giggs/Beckham balance as two short, tricky, pacey wingers would be too light weight for us in a 4-4-2 system and we would lose too many midfield battles imo. Two short, pacey, tricky wingers would be fine if we play 4-5-1 mind like Swansea.

You need to leave this forum, that sounds like football tactics, this is for want to be financial guru's.. :o

If we can get him for 250~350K with sensible wages, a very good squad player. We need to rest all our main guys 3~8 games.

I wouldnt want him on a free to be honest, he didnt light the championship up did he?
Lack of ambition by the club so far, need better players than him if we are compete at the top of the table. :( :(
