OUR SCRAP WITH WEST HAM AT BOURENMOUTH

Gwyn I was there that night, it was mental.
Westham gave it the big one when they walked in the pub, at first there was only about 8 or 10 Cardiff lads in there when they first walked in and one of them took his shirt of and started signing I'm forever blowing bubbles. We ended up out the front with about 20 of them and yes a few of us got hurt, but u lot out the back came from no where and gave the rest of them a right hiding. My mate a Bristol C fan, Allan(ex doorman of mine from Bridgwater) laid a few out I can tell u that.
One of our lot was out cold out the fron they had hit him ovr the head with a bottle.

Later on even the police who took ages to arrive and only seem to once Westham were on their toes, let all Cardiff fans go as the cctv had showed and the landlord reported that they had done all the initial attacking on us, at the time out numbering us.

The lad with the brick in his head was a mate of mine who I go to games with. I wasn't there that day....didn't think much of a Tuesday night in Bournemouth but regretted not going later was a bit too soon after that great day out at West Ham. They got backed out by a small number in the bar but didn't realise what was in the beer garden / lounge. Only regret was the dibble coming before Cardiff could get full payback and teach them a lesson. My mate got patched up and still made the game

I've had many a fight in my 45 years and even boxed for a few years but I'd never post about it on here even if it was cardiff connected! ... I was there ! My brothers lorry yard is five minutes from Dean Court, Him, my old man and me were just parking up and heard sirens going off everywhere.

Wasn't unitil we got home that I heard what had happened, I do remember though some lads in the ground to the right of us, giving it the big one, I commented to my brother about Bournemouth not having an trouble amkers down there !

was standing with "the general" and mac when these blokes entered the bar, and the general said straight away "they are west ham"... yea right, west ham at a bournemoth v city match... others said they are valley boys, but nobody knew em...
mac, i think, approached one and asked who they were and it kicked off straight away with glasses, bottles and chairs flying...

also remember simon the copper lashing into west ham, fighting alongside the city fans... shite game, we won after penalties if i remember correctly but certainly an entertaining trip

I was there that night two . I was on a jolly near bournemouth with work and decided to go last minute .

went into that pub and everything calm until these so called west ham fans turned up . Just as i got served this cockney guy started singing forever blowing bubbles . thought it was a wind up at first but lo and behold the place erupted .

that night Camerone Jerome played a blinder and i knew from that moment he would go on to play in the premier league in the future . How right i was

oh, and I remember someone (by accident) smashing one of the wingmirrors of Annis' Mitsubishi...

I remember once circa 1979-80 me and Phil Rees had a fight in Trallwn junior school over his Starsky & Hutch car,Mrs Powell (aka Darlek) the dinner lady and about 2 more other dinner ladies grabbed me by the hair and dragged me off Phil and took me to Mr Fisher the (headmasters) office,on the way I managed to get a few digs into Darlek but she kept giving as good as she got,Mr Fisher slippered me and also told me I had to tell my mam & dad when I got home who also give me a smack and a good shouting at...

When I lay in bed that night I pulled the Starsky & Hutch car out of my bag!! dew what a laugh that was...

Phil Rees is now a taxi driver and we just laugh about at it now...but I done him and he knows it
Dalek is dead......R.I.P big respect to the Dalek she was proper old school
Don't know what happened to Mr Fisher,he was a tidy fella actually
Mam & Dad are still around but we never mentioned again,but I did get a bit paranoid when S & H was on the tele box
The S & H car is still in my mams attic somewhere
