One lesson from last season is that over 46 games plus cups its about the strength of the SQUAD not just the first xI.

Of course we need forwards and midfielders, but we should not miss the options to strengthen in ALL areas.

You are talking two seasons ago. Weve got two decent cover centre halfs in Blake and Gerrard so why waste 1 million?

Gerrard is most likely on his way - and we will probably get a fee for him,and Blake gets shown up once every few games for his lack of height, he's Ok as full back cover but should only be used as centre half when we are desperate -4th or 5th option. For example Cole and Howard both bossed him far too easily.

We have got to improve in all areas.
